I agree. Butter lasts for months if refrigerated, honey never spoils (just crystallizes, which can be reversed by submerging the bottle a pot of hot water for a few minutes), and cinnamon and sugar are also very long lasting…so why would combining them result in something that lasts just three days? I am quite sure it could be saved weeks if not months in the fridge.
Crappy web site. Why does the print formatting come out horrible. It’s so easy to develop a print/no-print style in CSS.
Barbara, you can freeze it just fine too! It can last for about a year in the freezer when wrapped tightly!
What about Indian Ghee it keeps for extended periods on your counter top as long as you don’t pollute it with other food on your knife. Cinnamon was used as a preservative, and for honey choose Tupelo honey. It keeps until it’s used up and will not turn to sugar, honey is antibacterial.
Hi Suzana. The powdered sugar helps make the butter sweet and keep it soft. Though this butter will harden if placed in the refrigerator. If you are concerned about the sugar content, you can omit it.
