The term organic is sometimes confused with "no pesticides". Organic fruits and veggies are often sprayed with natural pesticides. For example, crysthanthenums have strong pesticide properties. This is why it’s important to wash them with vinegar before using.

My brother (uses a Vitamix) created a green smoothie concoction that I’ve used for years. I first struggled making a "sludge" using a Ninja until using my new Blentec. A world of difference!
This version of my green smoothie sounds disgusting, but really is incredibly healthy and will do wonders to your body and the resultant bloodwork will provide favorable results:
    3/4 c Almond milk, 1 t ginger, 3 chunks ea frozen tropical fruit (pineapple, mango) 1/4 c blueberries, 1/4 apple, 1/2 t cinnamon, 1 or 2 mini peppers, 1 carrot, 1-1/2 inch english cucumber, 2 heaping t flax seed, 1 celery stalk , 3-4 grape tomato, 1 c spinach, 1 c kale, 1 banana and a couple of ice cubes.
Pulse a few times to break down and then select smoothie.
Yields 2 large glasses. I’m not hungry until around mid afternoon. This is probably the most nutrition you can get in a glass and your body will react in a very positive way.

Not to mention bacteria or other material that may have been in contact with the fruit and veggies while growing.

I was told that the only fruit that could be combined w/ veggies is an apple. Otherwise it does not digest well. These combos sound good but i am questioning the combination

@blendtec is there a difference between frozen and fresh fruit? I prefer fresh and try and stay away from frozen.
