why doesn’t my soup come out hot? It’s room temperature!

The soup had good flavor but was very watery and not filling at all. I did add chicken and corn and it still left something to be desired. :( I had high hopes for this soup.

I love this soup! But the recipe says to use warm water—that is what gets it nice and hot. Otherwise it’s just lukewarm.

I love tortilla soup and always order it when I go out. I could tell by the recipe that this would not have the kick I usually expect. I added one chipotle pepper in adobo sauce and 1 tsp of the sauce. Plus, I charred the onion one one side first. It came out amazing. My daughter loved it also, but I had to hide while making it because if she saw the raw vegetables that went into it she never would have tried it. I used hot tap water and had to run the soup cycle a second time to get it hot enough, next time I will microwave the water a few seconds first.

Delicious! I added a handful of spinach, 1/3c 9-veggie salsa, minced garlic (not powder). Yummy! So healthy!
