    Laurie on

  • I’m pretty sure the instructions are exactly the same whether you use the twister jar or standard jar.

  • Same instructions…just in the regular jar…or wild side jar. If it get’s stuck just use a spatula to get it going again.

  • I only have a wildside jar…can I still follow the instructions and be successful?

  • Just use it, same instructions

  • Do you cook the beans? The recipe does not say so; I suppose that it’s a raw hummus..Right?

    Albert on

  • Can this be made without the tahini? Should I delete the 1 tbsp. of liquid from the black beans. Allergy to sesame!

    Mimi on

  • You do not cook the beans for this recipe.

  • Great recipe that is delicious if your a hummus fan! So many uses, and a great healthy replacement for refried beans. Use on quesadillas, burritos, 7 layer dip or a Mexican pizza base. I like a extra tbsp of lime juice along with fresh cilantro in mine. I make double batches in my wildside jar, and use my own tahini which I also made in my wildside. This is a must try…delicious!

    Kevtec. on

  • It’s 5g. Thanks for letting us know. We have made the necessary change.

    Blendtec on

  • This doesn’t really work in the standard jars "unless" you double the recipe. There is otherwise not enough volume for the blades to work on… I ended up having to transfer the contents to my little cuisinart to get the job done.
On the plus side it is a Great recipe.. especially with a few shreds of roasted red pepper added

  • Made this today. Soooooo good! I accidentally put in a 1/2 tsp of cayenne and paprika. I liked the extra spice :)

  • Where have all the comments that were here before gone.

    Dianne on

  • You don’t cook the beans but canned beans are already cooked. If you buy dry beans a soak + cook them yourself it’s much cheaper and healthier (than using the preservatives from the canned beans).

  • You’d have to decrease the amount of ingredients since the Mini Twister jar is smaller. We would suggest using the FourSide or WildSide jar instead.

    Blendtec on

  • will this work in the mini twister jar?

    Dianne on

  • would using raw sesame seeds work instead of tahini? if so, how much?

    fbk on

  • Just made this. It is amazing! I used roasted garlic, left out the cyanne and added 1/2 t chili powder.

    Suzanne Wheatley on

  • Yes, you can use the same amount of sesame seeds. You can also make tahini with the sesame seeds: http://www.blendtec.com/rec…

    Blendtec on

  • So happy to hear that, Dianne! Thanks for sharing. Have a happy day!

    Blendtec on

  • I love this recipeI I followed the recipe exactly but added more of the liquid from the beans than the recipe called for. Everyone loved it

    Dianne on

  • will is work with Wild Side; that’s the only jar i have
