  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 stalk celery halved
  • 1/2 cucumber ends removed, halved lengthwise
  • 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cups leafy greens lightly packed
  • 2 cups water chilled
  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger peeled

  1. Add ingredients to FourSide or WildSide+ jar in order listed and secure lid.
  2. Select "Whole Juice" or blend on a Medium-High speed for 50-60 seconds.

    Using Blend-Tec for first time!!!!!! I bought it for green juices because I’m tired of paying $8-12 every time I want a green juice. I did the math and I think this will pay off. I admit I’m intimidated; I bought one at Bed Bath and Beyond and was overwhelmed by the power and returned it! But I called Blend-Tec and got a 675 which I think is strong enough for what I want — simple green juice or smoothie to start, using fresh produce I grow or that’s available. I don’t like sweet drinks. So I want to use just greens and ginger and maybe thicken with avocado or banana. I DO LIKE GINGER, but can I avoid peeling it? I was thinking start with a litttle water and whole ginger, pulverize that to extract juice, get rid of that and add the juice to the greens. Or do I have to peel it?

    I absolutely loved this! I wasn’t sure how much cucumber to use, since they come in different sizes. I used half of an English cuke (the big long ones) and it worked great. The nutritional information is off, though. It’s closer to 300 calories for the whole thing.

    OK that sounds a little gross (!) so I’ll exert 3 calories and cut the peel off and put it right into the juice. Probably healthier anyway. Thanks!!!!!
