I was going to ask the same thing if you could use the wildside jar instead. Why do you keep making all these extra attachments? I remeber when you came to Sams Club and the guy said, NO need for any other attachments, So why do we need a mill and a twister jar? I thought the regular jars would be enough,, I want to try this but i dont want to buy extra attachments, thats why i bought this machine to elimanate the need for all that clutter
I used the wild side jar and ground up some wheat ahead of time, poured it on the counter and then pureed the greens (I used baby kale), egg and water in the same jar. I also added some salt. Instead of adding the flour to the jar I incorporated and kneaded it on the counter, then rolled it in small batches (this makes it much easier to roll it out) about 1/16 – 1/8" thick and cut with pizza wheel. I didn’t let mine dry and it worked wonderfully. If you like thicker, more chewy noodles like we do just let them cook longer – they don’t get soggy like store bought noodles. Don’t stress about the exact proportions in this recipe. Noodles, like bread, need different amounts of flour depending on the day.
This recipe can work with the WildSide jar though the recipe will need to be doubled. You can also blend the egg, water and spinach and add flour and knead the pasta dough on a counter by hand. The reason for additional jars is to give versatility to the Blendtec. All the jars can perform the functions, though some jars perform certain functions better.
Can you make this recipe with almond flour or any other gluten free flour? If so should I adjust the amount of flour?
You can substitute a different flour. You may have to adjust the amount depending on the flour you use.
