  • Looks and sounds soooo refreshing! Hard to believe it still has all that sugar in it … but at least it has good fiber and vitamins. I might try adding lemon zest, and reducing the sweetener just a bit.
I made another one of your non-dairy smoothies and froze it into Dixie cups with a plastic spoon sticking out as an after game snack for the baseball team recently… It was 100 degrees outside, and hubby kept them cold with dry ice inside a cooler. It worked and was a big hit! This recipe would work great for that as well.

  • I added a small handful of basil and it became even more delicious.

  • I wouldn’t even add the sugar, no need with sweet watermelon and raspberries.

  • Yes, cut the lemons in half and peel.

  • The lemons halved? Peel too?

  • very good and refreshing – absolutely no need to add sugar, not sure why any smoothie would require sugar

  • If I have regular lemonade, how much would I pour in to replace the cut lemons? Does one cup frozen raspberries replace the ice? Thank you

  • I just made this and it was SO good! Didn’t add any sugar, and I used 5 or6 frozen strawberries since I didn’t have any raspberries. Thanks for the recipe, I love watermelon! :)

  • The C stands for cup(s).

  • Do you seed the lemons first, or just blend up the lemon seeds?

    Jo on

  • The lemon peel and pith are edible, but may make the lemonade bitter. By removing the peel, the bitterness is eliminated.

    Blendtec on

  • Removing the seeds is optional, though the taste will be more pleasant if the seeds are removed.

  • I only had limes so decided to add 1/3 cup juice instead. It still tasted great!!

  • I made this with frozen strawberries because I did not have raspberries. As strawberries are sweeter than raspeberries, I only added 2 tablespoons of sugar, and this took the edge off the tartness of the lemons. It is so refreshing!

  • Yummy!

  • I added 1/3 cup lime juice instead of the lemons. It still tasted great!
