Instructions

  1. Add berries and juice to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Select "Smoothie" setting. If you desire to remove seeds from fruit snacks, push the fruit puree through a sieve.
  2. Heat berry puree, sweetener, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbly. Remove from heat and slowly stir in gelatin until no clumps are visible.
  3. Pour into a 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  4. Once snacks have set, remove from pan and cut into pieces.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use agar powder in place of gelatin.

How about using stevia etc for us with diabetes issues?

You can buy ice tray shape molds from Amazon or dollar stores. Pour all the liquid in those trays and they will come out very nice with different shapes such as star, fruit, flower.

    How long do they keep?

You could also pour the mixture into a silicone tray or ice cube tray and refrigerate that way.

Can you use fresh OR frozen berries for this recipe? I love the idea of making homemade fruit snacks. How long do they stay fresh? any suggestions for storage?
