  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup nuts chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups reduced-fat milk

  1. Add flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder to Mix n Blend II blender jar. Secure lid and press "Pulse" 3–5 times to sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add oil and milk to jar and secure lid. Select "Batter."
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  4. Grease a medium-sized, shallow pan, and spread ½-inch thick layer of batter in pan.
  5. Bake until slightly golden, approximately 25 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, boil corn syrup in pot until corn syrup forms thread; stir until creamy. When bread is almost baked, cover with corn syrup, sprinkle with nuts, and finish baking.
  7. Let cool and then cut into squares.
