Apple Compote Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 apples cored and quartered
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1/4 cup pecans

Instructions

  1. Add half of apple pieces to WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Press “Pulse” 8–10 times.
  2. Pour pulsed apples into medium saucepan.
  3. Add other half of apples and remaining ingredients to WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Press "Pulse" 8–10 times.
  4. Pour mixture into saucepan, and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes or until apples pieces are soft and mixture is thick.
  5. Serve with your favorite ice cream.

    I have to agree with the last reviewer and beg for an ice-cream recipe that is not going to gain any points from being healthy. Just a nice basic recipe that you could add some fruit or flavoring. It would be nice not to have a banana in it

    We were a bit disappointed. It turned out like cinnamon applesauce. It needed more of a kick to it. I’d also like a Blendtec vanilla icecream recipe (I couldn’t find one). We used the Popeye icecream and should have frozen it first because it immediately liquefied once the warm compote was added.
