Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 3 1/2 oz. frozen pouch açaí purée

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to WildSide+ or FourSide jar in order listed and secure lid.

  • I thought Acai berries lost most of there antioxident properties shortly after being picked. Freezing will not maintaiin the healthy antioxidents.

  • Looks like an awesome recipe.

    I think they do disintegrate quickly, which is why you have to eat them fresh right away. But If they are processed correctly, they should be still very beneficial. Fresh is not an option except for those in Brazil, so we have to do the next best thing. Still packs quite an antioxidant punch with blueberries and pomegranate added.

  • I noticed someone had asked about a recipe for using beets, I am a beet fan and make a concoction that uses beets have been doing the same mix with my old Vita Mix, the blentec wide bottom container seems to do a better job. Here is my mix 2 cups water, one cup Pomegranate juice, one cup kefir, one half large beet, (sometimes will put whole beet in) 1/2 apple, 1/2 banana, 2 cups red cabbage, 1 cup blue berries, 1 cup broccoli, 1 cup carrots, 1 cup pineapple ( I use froze from Costco) 1 large celery stalk, 1 cup walnuts, 1 cup pumpkin seeds, 2 tbls Chia sees, cup spinach or Beet greens, few twigs parsley and one whole lime, cut off ends putting skin seeds and all, about 2 tbls cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric. Makes about a full container, I pour into 2 gt jars, seal and put in frig. I drink one of these qts as the main part of several meals a week…. We call it Jim’s Purple Goo….. It might sound icky, but tastes actually pretty good.. you will get a slight taste of lime…..and is fantastic for you. One of the stores sells the beets with the leafy greens on the top, we cut off and put in several small plastic bags and freeze and add to the drink as we go…I can keep these in my frig for several days…just shake the jar before drinking…..

  • You’re right. This recipe came out tart because of the yogurt. Not that fun to drink, unless that’s your thing.
