Peach Crisp
Ingredients
½ cup apple juice
½ tbsp arrowroot powder
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
¼ tsp ground ginger
8 peaches, peeled, pitted, and quartered
2 cup almonds
1 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
½ tsp kosher salt
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
⅓ cup turbinado sugar
substitutes:
butter: coconut oil or Earth Balance buttery spread
milk: your favorite non-dairy milk
yogurt: there are several brand out there that are dairy and soy free, just pick your favorite
gf: everything above looks like it is already gf as the crisp calls for almonds instead of flour. But for most things other than bread you can just sub your fave gf flour
Hope that helps :)
While all of the recipes look yummy, I can only make two of them. Please include substitutes for milk products, soy, and gluten free products in more of your recipes. I am sure at many of your followers are milk, soy and gluten free. Thank you, Sherry
Hi, I’m on the GAPS diet so I can’t use most of your recipes, but these recipes look pretty good. I can adapt them to fit my diet (exchange vanilla or peach yogurt for plain whole yogurt, replace agave and sugar for honey),. But substituting 1/2 cup of honey for 1/2 cup of sugar in the peach crisp would probably ruin it, so I wouldn’t try that recipe.
Honey is much sweeter than sugar, so generally when I substitute honey for granulated sugar in a recipe I add 1/2 the amount of honey as sugar listed and it turns out super!
