Strawberry Lemonade

There’s nothing like a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day—or any other day of the year! If you’re planning a backyard cookout or you’re simply craving a refreshing drink, skip the powdered lemonade and go for a fresh summer beverage that’ll be ready in seconds.

Making lemonade from scratch typically involves lots of squeezing and annoying messes. But with a Blendtec, all you need to do is hull some strawberries, and peel and zest some lemons. In fact, you can throw an entire lemon—sans peel—into your blender. The Blendtec’s powerful motor and blunt blade chop even the largest pieces of fruit into smithereens—all you’ll get is a little bit of tasty pulp.

In this video, we’ll make a refreshing strawberry lemonade that will channel memories of relaxing days by the pool.

How to Make Strawberry Lemonade

Step 1: Add peeled lemons, hulled strawberries, lemon zest, sugar, cold water, and ice cubes to your Blendtec.

Step 2: Secure the lid and run your Blendtec on the “Whole Juice” cycle.

Step 3: Pour and enjoy!

Now that you know what goes into making strawberry lemonade, try out our recipe!

STRAWBERRY LEMONADE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 3 lemons peeled and halved
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar or raw agave (or sweetener of choice, to taste)
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

  2. Select "Whole Juice” cycle or blend on a Medium to Medium-High speed for 50-60 seconds and serve.

Want a twist for extra refreshment on a sweltering day? Add a banana for a delicious strawberry lemonade sorbet.

Tip: Swap the strawberries for peaches to get frosty peach lemonade.
