Having owned a Blendtec for over 5 years, and with more than 1400 blends, we rely on our Blendtec every day for our breakfast smoothies. In the past few months, we have really seen the value in hitting our recommended daily intake of fruits and veggies by throwing them in our morning smoothie.

One recent tasty creation is the Red Velvet Cake Smoothie. This smoothie has the color and flavor of that delicious cake, but far fewer calories! Made with beets, banana, cocoa powder, and chocolate whey protein, this smoothie will blow you away!

Red Velvet Cake Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup roasted beets
1 banana, peeled and frozen
1 cup strawberries
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 packet stevia
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder

Instructions

  1. Place ingredients in your Blendtec in order listed and secure lid.
  2. Press Smoothie. If your Blendtec doesn’t have a Smoothie button, blend on a Low speed for 10 seconds, then a Medium to Medium-Low speed for 10 seconds, then Medium to Medium-High speed for 40 seconds.
  3. Enjoy in your favorite chilled glass!
To really indulge, top with a dollop of low-fat whipped cream! Enjoy!

I like it a lot, but next time I will add more liquid. Definitely I will make it again. Thanks
