Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups bran
  • 1 1/4 cups bread flour
  • 2 tbsp. canola oil
  • 1 1/4 cups cornstarch
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Add bran, whole wheat flour, bread flour, cornstarch, salt, baking soda, and baking powder to Mix n Blend II blender jar. Secure lid and press "Pulse" 35 times to sift ingredients.
  3. Add egg, corn syrup, and milk. Secure lid and select "Batter."
  4. Grease two medium-sized bread pans with oil, and pour ½ of batter into each pan.
  5. Let stand for 20 minutes, and then bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Add 1 cup chopped nuts with the flour. For muffins, pour batter into greased muffin pans and bake for 25 minutes.
