Orange Dreamsicle Ice Cream

orange dreamsicle ice cream

If you have ever tried Dreamsicle Ice Cream, you know it is fabulous. But it may not be the healthiest choice.

One of the things we like to do here at Blendtec is take traditional recipes and make healthier versions of them. This Orange Dreamsicle Ice Cream just might be one of the best so far! Now, to be fair, we must warn you that this doesn't have quite as strong of a flavor as the store-bought ice cream has. So, if you're expecting that, you may be disappointed.

However, it is REALLY yummy! All of our taste testers approved — and some of them were skeptical! The cabbage scared them... who has ever heard of ice cream with cabbage!? You certainly won't find it in most dreamsicle ice cream recipes, but we're confident you'll enjoy it!

What You Need

The great news is that you don't need an ice cream maker to make this ice cream! You'll simply combine all eight ingredients into your Blendtec

You will need some vegetables including cabbage, baby carrots, and avocado, so if you plan to share this ice cream with your kids, you may want to make sure they don't even see you add veggies! This could be an excellent way to get your kids good nutrients without them even knowing.

This healthier ice cream can be displayed in hollowed orange bowls, ice cream cones, or cute ice cream bowls.

If you try our Orange Dreamsicle Ice Cream, we'd love to hear what you think about it! Come back here and share it in the comments, and share your pictures on social media using #Blendtec!

I am a vegan, is there something I could use instead of the half and half for this recipe?
