Notes
When using the Kitchen Mill: Add wheat berries and popcorn kernels to Kitchen Mill, and grind into flour. Follow the rest of the instructions as stated.
@Bettyearl: the problem with having to adjust water or flour to get the right consistency will always exist as long as volume measurements are given instead of weight measurements for dough ingredients. Volume measurements are NOT SUITABLE for dough recipes, period. 100 people measuring one cup of grains or flour and one cup of water will get 100 different weights, and subsequently 100 different dough consistencies. 100 people weighing a certain amount of flour or grains and water will all get the same weight and the same dough consistency. And yes, a very small variance in weight which is not noticeable by volume will have a big effect on dough consistency. Always, always, always give weight measurements for dough recipes. Please, you Blendtec guys and gals are supposedly pros and should know that.
And if you can afford a $450 blender, you should defintiely be able to splurge on a $20 kitchen scale.
What a disappointment. My husband is gluten-free and I was expecting a recipe with only corn and not wheat berries
Will grinding the grains in my Wildside jar ruin it? I heard that grinding wheat will pit the plastic inside. What say you, Blendtec people? :) Thx for the cool recipe!
Anyone have a gluten-free version. (Blendtec, love ya! Just wish you provided more gluten-free recipes.)
Thank you for that Michael. I always redo my recipes into weight so I get it the same the next time I make something. So much easier.
