Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. chicken breasts cubed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 1/4 cups wheat germ

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In pot, boil chicken in water; reserve cooking water.
  3. Add cooked chicken and cooking water to FourSide jar. Secure lid and select "Batter."
  4. Add wheat germ and secure lid. Press "Pulse" until ingredients are incorporated.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, and place on baking sheet.
  6. Use back of spoon dipped in water to slightly flatten balls.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes.

Note: Makes 30 treats.

    I love how simple this recipe makes it to make healthy treats for our dog. Instead of "bones", I cut them out with a 1" circle and call them buttons. She devours them!

    You would think since this question was posted a month ago someone would have answered by now. I’d also like to know do these have to be refrigerated?

    Refrigeration is recommended in order to prevent foodborne illness.They will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. To make them last longer, freeze the ones you know will not be used in 2 weeks.
