One of my favorite treats to make during warm weather is an antioxidant rich acai berry bowl. Being a Blender Babe, I make A LOT of smoothies! So it’s actually nice every once in awhile to create a bowl of goodness that’s just as nourishing, and that I get to CHEW! Enjoy this acai bowl for breakfast, a snack, or dessert! This non-dairy acai bowl uses lots of frozen fruit, and I keep the sugar down by using liquid stevia.
However, you can also use raw honey or maple syrup. The recipe nutrition is calculated without toppings. Use your favorites, but be conscious of how much you’re adding. Chia seeds are a great way to add extra fiber and omega 3s. I also love adding more fresh fruit, coconut, granola, and a drizzle of raw honey. This recipe is high in potassium and vitamins A, B6, C, D, and E, as well as calcium.
