Jillee's Super-Charged Green Smoothie for Beginners

Jillee's super-charged green smoothie

Hi everyone! It's Jill with One Good Thing by Jillee. I'm back this week with another great recipe: my Super-Charged Green Smoothie for Beginners. I can't wait to share this recipe with you—I even made a video to show you how to make it and to provide some tips about how to get the most out of your Blendtec blender. So let's get started.

Ingredients
1½ c almond milk (unsweetened)
1 large handful spinach or kale
1 c frozen bananas
1 c frozen pineapple
1 tbsp honey
1 add-in

Add-in Options
½ ripe avocado
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds

I just love fast food that's healthy for you! What's your favorite green smoothie add-in?

    Hello,
Smoothie recipes are very versatile and ingredients can be substituted will many other options. If a smoothie recipe calls for almond or coconut milk, you can just use whatever milk is currently in your fridge. It’s best to peel and quarter the bananas before you freeze them.

I don’t have almond milk (or coconut milk) what can I substitute? I don’t have frozen pineapple or bananas. I do have frozen strawberries and a bag of mixed berries. I have fresh bananas. I guess I could freeze them. Should they be frozen peeled or unpeeled? Can I substitute frozen strawberries and mixed berries?
