Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Win a Pink Blender

It's October, which means it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society estimates that 232,340 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2013. Additionally, 39,620 women will lose their battle with breast cancer this year. Breast Cancer Awareness Month helps us remember those mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends who have lost their lives to this tragic disease. We can also celebrate the lives of the 2.8 million women who have survived.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women: 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lives, and 1 in 36 women may die from it. Luckily, the death rate for breast cancer is decreasing, but we still need to take a stand and show our support for all those whose lives have been effected in one way or another by this disease.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Blendtec has designed—for the second year in a row—a special pink blender. And you have the chance to win it.

The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada. The winner will be announced on October 30, 2013. If you're the winner, you'll have 48 hours to reply to the e-mail you receive.
