Blendtec Partners with Rick Boysal Racing

Every now and then, a cool and unique opportunity comes our way.

We've had the chance to work with various sports teams and Fortune 500 companies as well as be in TV and radio spots. One of the neatest experiences though is sponsoring a NASCAR team. In fact, next weekend we will be in Sonoma, California, with the team while they race. If you're in the area, stop by and say hi.

I will include the press release below, but remember: "If you're not first, you're last." The race will be at Infineon Raceway on Father's Day weekend. We want to wish good luck to all the drivers, but especially to Rick Boysal and his team. See ya there!!

BLENDTEC SPONSORS NASCAR TEAM OF CTR MOTORSPOSTS AND RICK BOYSAL RACING

New sponsorship is an exciting opportunity for Blendtec to connect with the large NASCAR fan base.

Blendtec is proud to announce its sponsorship of the #60 team car of CTR Motorsports and Rick Boysal Racing. CTR Motorsports will compete in the 2010 NASCAR K&N Pro Series, primarily on the road course venues, and Rick will drive the #60 Toyota Camry for Thompson Motorsports. This season’s preparation began in February 2010 with an aggressive testing program focusing on the various road course races.

The Big NASCAR K&N Pro Series Race will be held on June 19th at Infineon Raceway with NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series. CTR Motorsports will also visit Portland International Raceway July 18th and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah September 12. CTR Motorsports LLC is the managing team of Rick Boysal. Rick will compete in other Pro Racing Series events in 2010 as well.

Plans are to develop the NASCAR Nationwide Series program to possibly run the two Nationwide Road Courses at Watkins Glen, New York, and Montreal, Quebec, in August 2010.

“This is a new direction for our marketing efforts and one we are very excited about. Rick and his team are established winners from previous motorsports series and are now making NASCAR their focus. We feel this is a great way to connect with fans and supporters of NASCAR who are potential Blendtec customers,” said Jeff Robe, director of marketing for Blendtec.
