The perfect jar for larger, faster blends.

In addition to its patented fifth side, our all-new WildSide+ jar includes all the features of our original WildSide jar plus more for even faster blends. Two vertical ridges added to the jar interior disrupts the blending pattern even further, allowing ingredients to hit two additional surfaces and accelerating the blending process. The result? The fastest, smoothest blends yet.

Features include all of these unique Blendtec advantages:

  • Increases blending efficiency for frozen ingredients by up to 25%
  • Delivers a fully blended smoothie from frozen fruit and ice in as little as 14 seconds
  • Unique safety blade is 80% thicker and ten times stronger than competitors' blades and blunt instead of sharp
  • Patented fifth side allows for bigger, faster blends
  • Easy-clean jar blends without the use of a plunger or other device
  • BPA-free copolyester construction
  • Shorter jar fits under most kitchen cupboards
  • Easy-open Gripper lid that allows ingredients to be added through the center opening and that vents pressure when blending hot liquids

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luv my Blender, disappointed in the leaking gasket Ive not quite has this a year and the black gasket to my wildside jar started shredding - we'd see little black shreds on the base when we removed the jar- now the gasket leaks any liquid we put in. Im really disappointed and hope I can have the jar replaced since we dont use it daily but its a great product and the jars are awfully expensive if the gasket is going to shred and wiggle the blade and leak. I thought my kids did it so blamed them, but in the Q&A section here, I see its not an isolated situation. I hope we can get this resolved so I can go back to loving my blender!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! I got the Wildside as a replacement for the original jar that I flat wore out. This jar is terrific -- it is quieter than the standard jar when I make my smoothies which are very heavy on the ice. It also blends the contents quicker than the original jar and has a lower profile. Also easier to clean than the original jar because the base is wider and I can get a cleaning brush down there very easily. Awesome jar.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great blender, too bad the jar's gasket has broken I bought this 10 months ago and now the jar leaks and gasket is going. I've used it to make smoothies only - about 2 a week over those 10 months. Don't want to spend $100 for a replacement jar if it will break down too. Really disappointed and unsure what to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best blender ever I got this as a gift in the year, 2009 and it turned out to be the best blender I've ever used. It makes the best smoothes for breakfast. Its easy to clean, powerful. The only con about this blender is that I have the smaller version of the container Jar. I just found out that they came out with a larger jar. I definitely will be buying the larger jar its wider and it holds more. Its better then the Vita mix blender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service Ok, my jar has a gasket leak. I freaked out, however I called the customer service and since my blender was only 2 years old they are replacing it. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have For A Minimalist Kitchen This blender is extremely versatile. I use it for many tasks from whipping up smoothies and hummus to making bread dough. One base and two jars (Wildside and Twister) take up little space but deliver big on multi-function ability. If it could cook rice, it would be the only counter top appliance I would need. The really important thing is it works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wildside Jar Doesn't Last I purchased a new Blentec blender within the last year and my Wildside jar is already failing. How long is the warranty on the jar? Also, I have two spare jars from previously. How can I tell which one is the newest jar? Will the number on the bottom indicate when the jar was made? Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection in a jar Love this jar as I love anything I have owned of their brand. I have been using blendtec for 20 years and it's one of the companies that has continued to improve the quality of their already exceptional products over time. Highly recommend.

When will you upgrade the gaskets in the jars so they stop breaking down and leaking?

Asked by: brebre
This is something that we are currently working on. If you need a new jar, please call 800.748.5400 for assistance. Here are some tips to help prevent this from happening in the future: - Clean your jar immediately after use, don't let food sit in it. - Before each use, turn the blade with your hand from the bottom of the jar by spinning the drive shaft. - If the jar hasn't been used over an extended period of time, you may want to put warm water in it and let it sit for 15 minutes, dump it out and then turn the blade with your hand to ensure it's not stuck.

Have you developed a better quality jar and gasket? Mine started leaked & stopped working after 10 months.  I do not want to buy another if it will only last 10 months.

I'm starting to have the same problem with my Wildside Jar.  The gasket on the bottom is beginning to burn and bits of it are coming off.  My jar doesn't leak yet, but it's only a matter of time.  I purchased my blender on 1/23/14.  What will be done abou

It sounds like your jar shaft is starting to freeze and the drive socket is trying to force the shaft to move, thus creating the burn and bits coming off. I have the same problem. It burns the rubber in the bottom and it started to leak... I just blended smoothly once or twice the max per week. It has such a poor quality... So disappointed.

WOW, this is exactly whats happened to our wildside jar.  The black rubber underneath leaks now and the blade is skipping its rotations. I thought my kids did something but it seems this is not a isolated problem?  I love the blender and its programming, but Ive had this less than a year and the jar is leaking liquids.
