Rated 4 out of 5 by RebD from Luv my Blender, disappointed in the leaking gasket Ive not quite has this a year and the black gasket to my wildside jar started shredding - we'd see little black shreds on the base when we removed the jar- now the gasket leaks any liquid we put in. Im really disappointed and hope I can have the jar replaced since we dont use it daily but its a great product and the jars are awfully expensive if the gasket is going to shred and wiggle the blade and leak. I thought my kids did it so blamed them, but in the Q&A section here, I see its not an isolated situation. I hope we can get this resolved so I can go back to loving my blender!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rugger from Outstanding! I got the Wildside as a replacement for the original jar that I flat wore out. This jar is terrific -- it is quieter than the standard jar when I make my smoothies which are very heavy on the ice. It also blends the contents quicker than the original jar and has a lower profile. Also easier to clean than the original jar because the base is wider and I can get a cleaning brush down there very easily. Awesome jar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by scout from Blendtec honors their warranty I abuse my blender daily with frozen fruits, and the jar failed after having it for about 7 months. I got a new one in 3 days w/ no hassle after emailing customer service about it. Realistically, no blender jar's blade assembly is going to last years with daily use (I bought the blender expecting to need warranty replacements for the jar, since there's no chance it's going to last 7 years with daily use), so as long as blendtec keeps sending me new jars when they wear out for the duration of the warranty, I'm satisfied. The jar sounds different when it's starting to wear out, so when this happens get in touch w/ customer service so you can get a new one shipped out to you before the old one completely breaks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by val1 from Great blender, too bad the jar's gasket has broken I bought this 10 months ago and now the jar leaks and gasket is going. I've used it to make smoothies only - about 2 a week over those 10 months. Don't want to spend $100 for a replacement jar if it will break down too. Really disappointed and unsure what to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nomad from Must Have For A Minimalist Kitchen This blender is extremely versatile. I use it for many tasks from whipping up smoothies and hummus to making bread dough. One base and two jars (Wildside and Twister) take up little space but deliver big on multi-function ability. If it could cook rice, it would be the only counter top appliance I would need. The really important thing is it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rosebud1013 from Best blender ever I got this as a gift in the year, 2009 and it turned out to be the best blender I've ever used. It makes the best smoothes for breakfast. Its easy to clean, powerful. The only con about this blender is that I have the smaller version of the container Jar. I just found out that they came out with a larger jar. I definitely will be buying the larger jar its wider and it holds more. Its better then the Vita mix blender.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ChefPeggy from Nice upgrade I bought this jar to replace the original jar that came with my Blendtec- the bottom seal had failed and was flinging ground gunk both inside and outside my blender jar. Blendtec customer service was going to send me a free replacement, but it never arrived. I love my Blendtec, so it was worth finally biting the bullet to buy the replacement. Fast enough shipping, good quality jar. I hope it lasts!

Does the wildside jar hold 2 quarts of liquid ? I would like a bigger jar!
The WildSide Jar is a 36 ounce jar. The capacity line is marked right at 36 oz. It is the largest blending jar we make. If you fill about this line the lid will push off because of the power of the motor. http://www.blendtec.com/jars/wildside-jar

Can I blend hot soup in the wild jar? Actually, what the highest resistant temperature of the wild jar?
You can add your ingredients already hot but only up to 140 degrees temp. The soup button or icon on your Blendtec will do the rest!

Can you make soup from start to finish in this machine. eg. blend and heat
Yes, we have used ours multiple times to make soups and it gets nice and hot. The blender actually came with a cookbook and has a lot of great recipes for making foods like that completely in the jar!

I have the xpress model. the deal offered me to add th wildside and twister jar. they do fit. why do you say those jars cannot be used with the xpress machine?
We have different jars that are built for our home and commercial products. If you have a commercial machine, like the xpress model, we don't recommend that you buy the jars on our residential site, but rather that you use our commercial ones.

I was about the buy the 725 blendtec when I saw the damning cnet review. If I were to buy it and you guys are able to resolve the gasket issue will you then send me out the jar with the fix?
Yes, the jars that come with your blender have the same 8-year warranty that the blender does. You can call our customer service team at any time in those 8 years and have your jar replaced, if needed. Most things will work just fine with the jar as-is right now, however.

When will you upgrade the gaskets in the jars so they stop breaking down and leaking?
This is something that we are currently working on. If you need a new jar, please call 800.748.5400 for assistance. Here are some tips to help prevent this from happening in the future: - Clean your jar immediately after use, don't let food sit in it. - Before each use, turn the blade with your hand from the bottom of the jar by spinning the drive shaft. - If the jar hasn't been used over an extended period of time, you may want to put warm water in it and let it sit for 15 minutes, dump it out and then turn the blade with your hand to ensure it's not stuck.
