For the Thickest Blends

The Twister jar features all of these unique Blendtec advantages:

  • Extra-strong, patented single-prong tuned wingtip blade
  • Easy-to-read jar markings up to 16 fl oz
  • Made from impact-resistant, BPA-free copolyester
  • Compatible with all Blendtec consumer blenders (not compatible with Blendtec mixers)

The Twister jar is ideal for:

  • Bread & cookie crumbs
  • Nut butters
  • Hummus

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Perfect for single serve drinks! I am so happy I got this! The mini that came with my blender is ok for small jobs. But the reg size is better because it also has a reg gripper lid so you can make single serve drinks. I also like to make almond butter. So far I'm thrilled with the versatility of this and clean up is a snap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this jar! I have used this jar multiple times every day since I took it out of the box! I've made the Berry Soft Serve recipe from the recipe booklet every day. I've make Raw Ranch Dressing, Macadamia Cream, Raw Russian Salad Dressing, just to name a few. Our whole family is just in love with this new jar. The spatula is an engineering triumph and it actually gets out every last bit of our expensive organic nut recipes with ease. We are impressed with the removable lid centers and recipe booklet too. All the pieces of this package are well thought out and well worth the price. Bravo, Blendtec, you've put together something worthy of your amazing blender. No cheaping-out on anything. We are customers since 2006.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must-have for hummus, nut butters, and more... Wasn't sure how handy this would be, but I'm a big fan of hummus and spreads, so I thought I'd try it. What I didn't realize was that its more petite size fits perfectly under counter when atop my blender, and it's just the right size for a morning smoothie for one. I put in all my fresh greens and fruits with a little ice or water, and get 16 oz of heaven without using the bigger Wildside or Standard jars. LOVE IT! Clean up is simple too. Great product for the money, and dramatically different than any other offering from Blendtec.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Blender! Lets get the negatives out of the way... I haven't been successful in making ice cream, even when I follow the recipes provided but its not a big deal to me because it works great for all the things I actually bought it for. I had a hard time with thick things in the regular Blendtec blenders, but the twister jar can whip through all those troubles with ease. I have made super thick hummus, awesome guacamole, almond butter, sesame tahini, and baby food. Its my go to blender for the things I make and I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the preprogrammed settings! I received my Blendtec a week ago. I heard wonderful things about it from other reviewers online. It's BETTER than I expected, and easier to make all of the things that I bought it for than I thought it would be because of the preprogrammed settings. For example, I can make a green smoothie in 40 seconds by putting a little water in, filling it with leafy greens just the way I bought them, and tossing in a whole apple, or handful of berries and pushing ONE BUTTON, ONE TIME! It takes 8 seconds of preparation and 32 seconds of blending (where I do nothing but watch it adjust it's own speeds, and get a glass out of the cupboard). It takes me 20 seconds to clean up by rinsing the jar and lid with water and setting them upside down to air dry. It's so cool!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly! It isn't often you follow the instructions and get results like you saw in the video. But with this I followed the instructions exactly, simply pressing a few buttons and twisting the lid as I blended, and the nut butter was perfect. The other day I had apples but no peanut butter. But I found a jar of cashews and 2 minutes later I was eating apples with cashew butter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magic This blender jar has a brilliant design that really works for thick emulsions like nut butters. I have been using blendtec for 20 years and it's one of the companies that has continued to improve the quality of their already exceptional products over time. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does the job I received this along with my refurbished Blendtec Classic. I use it to make sorbets and nut butter. As long as you don't overfill it, and you cut the frozen fruit for the sorbets to the right size (about one-inch cubes), it works well. I put in a lot of almonds one night while making almond butter and it took a few processes to get it completely smooth. Once I put the proper amount of almonds in, it worked fine.

Which of your jars is best for making mayonnaise? My mayonnaise recipe makes about 1.5 cups total and I'm concerned the Wildside+ that came with my new blender may be too big

Asked by: MissJelic
It's made best in our Twister jar or FourSide jar but you should still be able to make it in the WildSide+ jar. If your recipe isn't working, try increasing the ingredients by 1.5 or 2 times.

I have the regular blender jar and the wild side jar. When a recipe calls for the twister jar can I make the recipe with one of the other jars?

Asked by: Dianeber
A lot of times it depends on the recipe, but you should be able to make it in the FourSide or WildSide+ jars. You will likely need to double the recipe and stop blending to scrape the sides.

Would one use this jar for coffee beans??

Asked by: metuck66
Yes, you can use this jar for grinding coffee beans but the other jars can be used as well. The only thing that changes is the amount you must put in the jar. You can read more about grinding coffee beans in your Blendtec here: http://www.blendtec.com/blog/how-to-grind-coffee-beans-in-your-blender/

When buying a refurbished blender, may one request that it come with a twister jar in place of a 4-sided jar?

Asked by: PaKayakers
Unfortunately, we don't have any packages available online where a blender comes with a Twister jar. It will have to be purchased separately.

Can I beat 3-4 Eggs in the twister jar? Also I read complains on Amazon about liquid flying off the lid? what cause this and how to avoid it? I have this concern before ordering the twister jar. Thank you

Asked by: Anna 48
Three to four eggs should be fine in the Twister. You will want to use the vented gripper lid for wet blending in the Twister jar and the twister lid for much thicker substances like nut butters. No liquids will leak when using the proper jar for the type of blend.

Is there some way to make the plastic cap on the mini/twister gripper lid secure more tightly, or are there meant to be small gaps between the rubber of the lid and plastic of the cap?

Asked by: JonM
The small gaps that you see between the rubber lid and the plastic cap, is intentional. It's for emulsion; that way if you're making mayonnaise or dressings, you can pour the oil in from the top of the lid while it continues blending.

Can you grind coffee beans in the twister jar?

Asked by: Nanjhall
Yes you can. Place 1 cup of coffee beans in the Twister jar. Secure the Gripper lid, and run on Speed 5 for 20–30 seconds or until desired texture is reached. Note: Over time, grinding coffee beans in your jar may cause it to look clouded or stained and to smell like coffee. This is cosmetic damage, and is not covered under the warranty.
