Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dressing and sauce maker! I got this with my Blendtec and I'm really glad I got it along with the Wildside jar. The larger jar is great for the smoothies and larger preparations but more awkward to use with smaller recipes for dressings, marinades and sauces and this one is perfect . I am also looking forward to getting the next larger "Twister Jar" for larger batch recipes of nut butters and my healthy Cocoa, Nut & Seed Dessert Balls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just The right Size I bought the blend tech machine almost a year ago, and decided this mini blender would be perfect for mixing up just a small smoothie. It is just the right size for making a healthy snack. You can throw in an orange or an apple and cola you have instant juice...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tool! The mini twister jar came with my wildside and total blender. I really love it! I've made nut butters and aioli and hummus with it among other things. My husband likes jalapeno cream cheese for his bagels, and I make it in less than a minute with this! Plus the Spectatula is an amazing little gadget! I can't wait to get the bigger twister jar now so I can make larger quantities!

Can and how do you make ice cream in the mini twister jar and can you make smoothies in it without spillage.

Asked by: dwilmoth
Because the Mini Twister jar does not have a Gripper lid, we do not recommend that you make smoothies in it. You can make ice cream in the Mini Twister jar, about 3/4 cup. Here's a great recipe for a Mixed Berry Sorbet: 1 tbsp water 2 tbsp frozen apple or berry juice concentrate 1/2 cup frozen raspberries 1/2 cup frozen blueberries Add ingredients to Mini Twister jar and place Mini Twister lid on jar. Hold Mini Twister lid and with other hand, press "Speed Up" to Speed 7 (Medium or Medium-High) and run for 30 seconds or until smooth. Turn Mini Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.

Can I use the Mini Twister jar to further grind pepper to a finer consistency? (What I bought recently is too course a grind.) If so what would the recommended amount to grind at a time, and what setting would you recommend be used?

Asked by: Hardrock
Yes, the mini twister will grind the pepper into a finer consistency. We recommend using the manual speed (low or medium, speed 2 or 3) and blend until the desired consistency is reached. It will blend quickly, so probably 20 seconds maximum.

Is the lid of the mini-twister jar supposed to lock in place when turned counter-clockwise? I held it on the base when washing it and the soapy water leaked out all over the place. How do I get a good seal?

Asked by: Molly4
The lid that comes with the Mini Twister jar is not meant to lock in place. The lid was built to scrape ingredients from the sides during blending, while you turn it counter-clockwise.

When you say the regular twister jar lid "semi fits" the mini jar, do you know if liquid would spill out if you used it with the mini jar? Baby food is liquid and all the reviews I've seen on the web says that liquid flies out!

Asked by: juliejulie2014
When making baby food in the Mini Twister jar, we recommend using the Twister lid that comes with it. Be sure to turn the lid counter-clockwise while blending. If you use the Gripper lid that comes with the Twister jar on the Mini Twister jar, the ingredients may spill out.

While making hummus with the blendtec recipe, my mini twist jar was jumping around.  When I applied more pressure, the entire blender began jumping around.  Is this to be expected, or am I missing the technique?

Asked by: Rhea
While making hummus you need to make sure the lemon juice is added first. The liquid needs to be around the blade. If you are doing this and it still jumps around. It is ok to steady it by placing your fingers gently by the side's of the Twister to keep it from moving. Or if it still is jumping around and is not settling down it may be a bad Twister Jar. The barring in the bottom of the jar may be tightening up and causing the motor base to be fighting the jar. If that is the case. Please call into our customer service at 1.800.253.6383 and we will check your warranty and replace your Twister Jar.
