Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dressing and sauce maker! I got this with my Blendtec and I'm really glad I got it along with the Wildside jar. The larger jar is great for the smoothies and larger preparations but more awkward to use with smaller recipes for dressings, marinades and sauces and this one is perfect . I am also looking forward to getting the next larger "Twister Jar" for larger batch recipes of nut butters and my healthy Cocoa, Nut & Seed Dessert Balls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just The right Size I bought the blend tech machine almost a year ago, and decided this mini blender would be perfect for mixing up just a small smoothie. It is just the right size for making a healthy snack. You can throw in an orange or an apple and cola you have instant juice...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tool! The mini twister jar came with my wildside and total blender. I really love it! I've made nut butters and aioli and hummus with it among other things. My husband likes jalapeno cream cheese for his bagels, and I make it in less than a minute with this! Plus the Spectatula is an amazing little gadget! I can't wait to get the bigger twister jar now so I can make larger quantities!

I usually put about 2 tablespoons of nuts into a spice grinder to grind up. Would 2 tablespoons of nuts in the mini-jar be too little or would it turn into a butter? has this been tested with super small quantities? Thank you

Asked by: AmandaM
The Mini Twister jar needs about ¼-½ of nuts to make into butter. The Mini Twister jar will be able to chop nuts with as little as 2 tbsp of nuts. Use the "Pulse" button to get the desired consistency.

Can I use the mini twister jar as my main jar, for juice drinks for example?

Asked by: skippy
We do not recommend using the Mini Twister jar for blending drinks as it does not have a Gripper lid to contain the liquid while blending.

Search for coffee question because I was thinking of purchasing specifically to grind coffee beans.  Is there a way of avoiding the cloudy/fogged appearance?

Asked by: Yehudit52
There is not a way to avoid the cloudy/fogged appearance when grinding coffee beans. We do recommend that if you are going to grind coffee beans, you buy another jar for other blends, as the coffee beans will, over time, cause your jar to look clouded or stained and to smell like coffee.

Can and how do you make ice cream in the mini twister jar and can you make smoothies in it without spillage.

Asked by: dwilmoth
Because the Mini Twister jar does not have a Gripper lid, we do not recommend that you make smoothies in it. You can make ice cream in the Mini Twister jar, about 3/4 cup. Here's a great recipe for a Mixed Berry Sorbet: 1 tbsp water 2 tbsp frozen apple or berry juice concentrate 1/2 cup frozen raspberries 1/2 cup frozen blueberries Add ingredients to Mini Twister jar and place Mini Twister lid on jar. Hold Mini Twister lid and with other hand, press "Speed Up" to Speed 7 (Medium or Medium-High) and run for 30 seconds or until smooth. Turn Mini Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.

Can I use the Mini Twister jar to further grind pepper to a finer consistency? (What I bought recently is too course a grind.) If so what would the recommended amount to grind at a time, and what setting would you recommend be used?

Asked by: Hardrock
Yes, the mini twister will grind the pepper into a finer consistency. We recommend using the manual speed (low or medium, speed 2 or 3) and blend until the desired consistency is reached. It will blend quickly, so probably 20 seconds maximum.
