3 years and 500+ uses and still going strong
I bought this blender in 2011, and as of 2 weeks ago I hit my 500th cycle, and it still performs like it did when I first got it. I have made many things with it from smoothies to dips and shakes it performs flawlessly and gives restaurant quality each time. I must also add that it has also outlived 3 blenders I had prior to this one. Once you get over the initial sticker shock and use it, you will see it is totally worth what you pay for it. If you're looking for something for the long haul and will perform better then anything out there look no further then Blendtec.

Love it!
I got mine just a month ago & have used it to make whole juices & smoothies. While it's a lil noisier than expected, I LOVE the power it has. Only one problem; my husband bought whole bean coffee today & forgot to have it ground, but he looked up blendtec & said, "hey, we can do it in the blender!" So we did. The ground coffee came out great, but unfortunately, even after just 5 seconds, it scarred the jar, so now it's cloudy at the bottom. I guess that's to be expected because it's plastic, but I wish there had been a warning. I'm sure it won't affect the performance, I just liked it to look clean, since it sits out on the counter. Still love the blender, though!

Doesn't last
I bought one of these four years ago and absolutely loved it for about 3 years, which is the length of the warranty. After that, it seemed to not work as well, having more and more difficulty thoroughly blending things, with the blade getting stuck more and more. Eventually it started overheating and not working well at all, until it finally had smoke pouring from the motor last time I used it. At approximately $400, I had expected this to be a lifetime investment, but I was very disappointed to just have to throw the whole thing away after only four years. It is true that I used it a lot, but for that price, it should have lasted a lot longer.

Amazon, easy to use, love it!
My mom bought this about nine months ago and hasn't really used it ever because she says you have to buy food that you usually don't have around the house. I wanted to prove her wrong and so I've been borrowing it, using it the last week. So far, I've made, all from food I had or wasn't too much out of ordinary from what I buy: Orange/Apple smoothie, Orange/Strawberry/Banana smoothie, Carrot/Lemon juice, Green Flaxy (spinach, pineapple, banana, flaxseed, ice). I plan on keeping it and then making juice/smoothies to start and bring them up to her and my dad's house so they drink their daily vegetables and fruits.
I have a 25+ year old VitaMix, which still works, but the Blendtec is soooo much easier to use, clean, and store. Once my mom begins tasting how great everything is, I'll be buying my own unit to replace the one I'm borrowing

My Favorite Blender!
I have used my Total Blender Classic for about 5 years now with absolutely zero problems and over 2000 blends. It has all the features for an outstanding price! I always recommend this model for anyone looking to get the most bang for their buck. Super powerful, easy to use, easy to clean. Really couldn't be happier!

No Good for Smoothies- Poor Value
Meh..... After years of using my Kitchen Aide ($100 at CostCo) for smoothies I burned up the motor and decided to upgrade. The motor is powerful, but the blender has a bad design. It only has two blades and doesn't suck the frozen fruit down into the blades. Basically you turn it on, it mixes for 3 seconds and then creates a void where the blades are and can't draw down the frozen mix above so it just spins and mixes nothing. To get it to mix you have to have too much liquid and end up with something that is about the consistency of Naked Juice. If I had paid $75 I would give it 5 stars.....but at $400 I expect an excellent product.

Works well!!!
I first saw this at Costco with my mom and she immediately wanted it. I decided to get it for her as an early Xmas present. We have only used this machine to make ice cream and it worked well. The ingredients didn't really go down--stick to the lower part of the blending jar---like Blendtec advertises and once the ice cream piled up at the bottom below the blade it was hard to blend the upper ice and fruit. I hope this issue only happens with the wild side jar. I may get the square jar and decide to use the blender for other things once the holiday hustle has passed. This is a durable product so I'll give it four stars.

Great product
I never though I would spend this much on a blender some the best money I have spent. It works great and is very easy to clean which is a big plus, have had it about 10 days and still learning how to use it. A little noisy but I can live with that , it works fast and does what is supposed to do.

How can I do butter with nuts with that blender ?

The Total Blender Classic was discontinued when we launched our new blender line last summer. There is nothing wrong with the product, we just stopped selling it, to focus on newer models.
