Rated 5 out of 5 by CG Scheid from Great features! I bought this to help me with a juice fast I was trying and this has turned out to be my most favorite kitchen appliance. It is sturdy, efficient, and a great quality machine. Clean up is easy, there's a button for that. I don't have to take the blades out of the machine (and the mess that makes) for cleaning and the lid is tight and secure when in use. Not only does it make juices, but I got a recipe booklet too. I am so low maintenance when it comes to food so if I can use this blender to make meals, you bet I'm gonna do it. I am so glad I bought this and with such a high quality machine, I know it will last for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DrBrad from Smooth Smoothies in a minute I had one of the very old all-in-one blender/bread maker/mixer made by the original company, KTec from 25 years ago and it still works well but have wanted to replace it with one of these newer blenders for a few years. We finally did it and i absolutely love it. The motor is higher powered than our older one and when making a smoothie with frozen fruit we have no more lingering chunks and they are super smooth. I love the new "cleaning" button. I just put a drop of dish soap and some warm water and hit the button, rinse and done. No scrubbing. This is not your ordinary blender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bulldog007 from Awesome The Blendtec - Classic 575 is the most awesome blender I've ever owned. I've looked for years for a "Tool Time Tim" blender that has massive power and can obliterate ice without it's tongue hanging out and sounding like parts are going to start flying off. I've worn out every other blender that I've ever owned. This is the first blender I've purchased that is up to the abuse I heap on a blender. I read a lot of reviews talking about a high noise level but this blender isn't any noisier that any other blender out there. Over time it really doesn't cost any more to go first class and Blendtec is the least expensive and most enjoyable over the long haul.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lavidabuena from Loving the new blender... My wife really didn't want to spend this much money on "a blender", but the local access to fresh, exotic fruits at the vacation house combined with the health benefits of drinking grape seeds and avocado seeds convinced her. We throw two cups of grapes in with a cup of ice everyone loves the flavor and texture. When adults are over, we add Bacardi rum and quickly run out ingredients due to the demand... LOL Quick clean-up and easy work getting through a jar full of cubed carrots/papaya with peel, frozen soursop blocks (guanabana), spinach, passion fruit, ginger and whatever else we see! We make drinks for breakfast, post-workout, when it's too late to eat and also as a way to get the nieces/nephews feed quickly without fighting about vegetables; they taste the fruits and neglect to realize there are three to five vegetables mixed in there too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Earplugs from Alarmingly loud The blender works well and as advertised, but it is alarmingly loud. I don't know if it is because I have a refurbished model, the the noise level is almost unbearable. Is this typical??

Rated 5 out of 5 by GlenChina from Waiting I am so happy to introduce this blender to my son. Ray has been a vegetarian for over 20 yrs and recently has gone Vegan. A recent discussion regarding Almond Milk prompted me to intotroduce a blendtec and the nice guy I am I bought one my son and his family to enjoy. Last Dec I bought a blendtec for daughter and her family, her two little girls love the veg juices. My (2-yr old) VitaMix I will soon retire it and replaced it with a new 'blendtec' can't wait.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sam W from You get the quality you pay for I have been very pleased with the BlendTecs I have used over the years. I purchased my own Classic 575 Certified Refurbished and it has proven to be a work horse. Since it doesn't have a blade, I don't need to worry about it getting beat up. I use it frequently. I do not recommend always using their strategy for putting liquids at the bottom, fruits and veggies in the middle and frozen items (like ice) on top. I like putting kale in my smoothies, and if you use their strategy, you liquify the kale. If you put the ice on bottom and kale on top, though, you will get small bits of kale (or whatever veggies you have) which adds a very nice crunch and texture to the smoothie. This mama jamba is loud. All blenders are loud, but this one is on the high end of loud. I don't mind, because the blend time is so short with this thing (much shorter than conventional blenders) that the added volume is fine for me. The BlendTec has remarkable blending prowess!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jellybean from Impressive but scary We bought our blendtec about a month ago. It's working fine and does everything we expected. It definitely can get loud, though the lowest setting is relatively quiet (like a medium sized vacuum cleaner), and anyway we were forewarned about the noise. My only comment is that it's a pretty scary machine - the thing is powerful and I am still slightly in awe of it. I think the awe is preventing me from fully experimenting with it. But am hoping that with time, this little fella is going to change what our entire pantry looks like, now that almost anything can be made by grinding nuts, seeds and the like.
