- 2 cups ice cubes
- 3 fl. oz. light rum
- 1 1/2 cups pineapple chunks

- Secure lid and select "Ice Crush" or blend on a Medium-Low speed for 30-40 seconds.

what is agave nectar and can i substitute it for something else?
I am wondering what else you can use besides rum. I don’t drink alcohol
Agave is a sweetener. You can use honey in its place.
Tastes nothing like a piña colada
Hi Marilee, you can omit the rum or substitute it with pineapple juice.
Blend on a Medium-Low speed (around speed 3 for the 625) for 30-40 seconds. Happy blending!
I don’t have ice crush button on my blendtec 625

Blend on Med for about 30 seconds.
I love this recipe it is so easy to make, leave out the rum for a virgen pina colada. Great for a hot summer day!
