Instructions
FourSide or WildSide+ Jar
- Add peanuts and salt to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Blend on Low speed for 15 seconds, then increase speed to High and blend until 50 seconds.
- Using a spatula or Spoonula, move peanuts towards center of jar, add oil and secure lid. Blend on medium to medium-low speed for 50 seconds, then blend on medium to medium-high speed for 50 seconds.
Note: You can also make peanut butter without the added oil. Instead of adding the oil after the second cycle, simply blend the peanut butter for an additional 50 seconds on Low speed. Then, continue blending for two additional cycles as directed above.
Twister Jar
- Reduce ingredients by ½.
- Add peanuts and salt to Twister Jar. Blend on a medium to medium-high speed for 50 seconds or until desired texture is reached. Turn lid counterclockwise while blending.
You’ll follow the same instructions as the Total Blender Classic.
Add peanuts and salt to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Blend on Speed 1 (Low) for 15 seconds then increase speed to Speed 9 (high) and blend until 50 seconds. Using a spatula, move peanuts towards center of jar, add oil and secure lid. Blend on Speed 3 for 50 seconds, then blend on Speed 5 for 50 seconds.
For peanut butter with no oil added, you need to blend the peanut butter for an additional 50 seconds to ensure creamy and smooth peanut butter. After the second cycle, where the oil would be added, run an additional cycle at Speed 2 for 50 seconds.
I am also going to have to call again. I had a similar problem making icing. I was assured it was just a faulty jar after listening to the motor over the phone?! Now, I have my new jar (much higher quality), but I still have an overheating blender as demonstrated by trying to make peanut butter using this recipe.
Is almond butter made that way as well?
