Creamy Tomato-Basil Soup Recipe
This updated version of traditional tomato soup gets its creamy texture from cooked beans, rather than high-fat, high-calorie dairy products.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sprouted soy or white beans
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp. chicken or vegetable bouillon
- 1 large onion quartered
- 1/8 tsp. dried basil
- 1 qt. warm water divided

Instructions
- Cook beans and onion in 1 quart boiling water for 15–20 minutes. Allow to cool.
- Add beans, onion, and 1 cup of cooking water to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid.
- Select "Soup" or "Hot" or "90" cycle or blend on a High speed for 90 seconds.
- Add remaining cooking water, bouillon, tomato sauce, and basil to jar and secure lid.
- Press "Pulse" 2–4 times to incorporate ingredients.

Dairy is a saturated fat but NOT a trans fat. http://www.nytimes.com/2014… – shows that a low-carb diet that includes fat, INCLUDING SATURATED FAT but NOT trans fat, results in more weight loss and better heart health than a diet that restricts fat but not carbs. Interesting article.
Esther you need Good fats in your diet, from coconut oil, avocados, Olive-, Avocado- to nut oils. And plenty of it ! My HDL went from 40 to 90 !
Triglycerides down to 30 ! Please do more research! Good luck!
I made the recipe with what I had on hand: 2 cans of chick peas and 2 cans of stewed tomatoes with Italian seasoning along with the onion and other ingredients. It was superb and received a thumbs up from my whole family. Thanks!
