Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoothies, Soups, Ice Creams: It Does It ALL! I've worked with Blendtech before in a previous job at a smoothie bar so I was pretty much sold on the blending powers of this amazing machine. I finally convinced my self to get one for my own and let me tell you: It pays for itself. Between the processors, blenders, and store bought foods I've bought over the years, THIS wondrous blender does it all. IF you are second guessing purchasing this product just know that it really is a worth every penny. Between the durability and functionality you won't regret it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vitamix Is Superior In Every Way! I bought this a little over 7 years ago and suddenly it stopped working (got an "Error" message on the screen). Called customer service and after 30 minutes of talking to even the lead customer service manager (Kerri) I decided to get the Vitamix instead of sending my blender back or even buying a new/refurbished Bendtec. I was made to feel like I was the problem even though I made a couple of suggestions on how to resolve the problem (including paying for the shipping back to them). Also, about a year ago the jar had some rust on the blade shaft, that was supposedly "sealed". I threw it away and bought a new jar from Blendtec. Now the blender has stopped working completely and I wish that I had saved my money and not replaced the expensive jar! I paid over $500 for my Blendtec and wish that I would have bought the Vitamix instead! The Vitamix is superior in everyway--stronger motor, easier operation (the Blendtec has a lot of confusing "Programs" that I never used), quieter and probably even customer service!

I'm considering to buy one, and take to our home in Bolivia.  This country uses 240 V, can it be used with this power set up?

Asked by: cessoma
This blender will not work with 240v. You can use a converter/transformer, but it will void the warranty.

Can this blender make flour?

Asked by: zakira55
Yes, this blender can make flour. Just be sure not to blend too long, or it will turn to a paste. We recommend using the "Pulse" button and pulsing until you've reached the desired final product.
