Preheat oven to 350°F. Soften yeast in water. Add yeast, milk, molasses, and salt to Mix n Blend II blender jar. Secure lid and press "Pulse" 1 time.
Add flours to bowl, and stir to incorporate. Add â…“ of flour to FourSide jar, secure lid, and pulse 2 times. Add next â…“ of flour, secure lid, and pulse 4–6 times. Add final â…“ of flour, secure jar, and pulse 8–10 times or until all flour is incorporated and dough ball forms. Allow dough to rest 10–15 minutes.
Dump dough onto oiled surface. Dip fingers in shortening; pull off pieces of dough (about ¼ cup); and shape them, one by one, into rounds.
Place rounds close together in buttered baking pans. Bake about 50 minutes or until very lightly browned.
If desired, make a glaze by mixing together cornstarch and water or sugar and water. Top biscuits with glaze.
