Preheat oven to 350°F.
Add warm water and yeast to Mix n Blend II blender jar. Secure lid and press "Pulse" 2 times. Allow yeast to proof for 5–10 minutes.
Heat cottage cheese until just warm, and add cottage cheese, sugar, onion, 2 tablespoons butter, dill, salt, baking soda, egg, and yeast mixture to Mix n Blend II mixing bowl. Select "Whip" option. Add flour and press "Auto Knead" button.
Transfer dough to floured surface; cover and let dough double in size. Punch down; divide into 2 loaves. Place each in large, greased loaf pan; let rise until doubled in size. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter, and brush on tops of loaves. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake for 30–35 minutes.
