Making Baby Food – How to Create Healthy and Delicious Meals for Your Baby with Your Blendtec
Once you’ve had about 6 months to get used to the new role of parenthood, you’re thrown a new loop—it’s time to start feeding your baby real food! There are so many different ways to go about this, and with the Blendtec, you can make it happen with ease.

Here are three great early baby food combos that are perfect to make in your Blendtec
Green Gooey Goodness – combine 1 tbsp breast milk, formula or filtered water with a banana (can be frozen if baby likes colder food) and 5-10 leaves of baby spinach. Blend until combined. The banana masks the spinach flavor, but baby gets the greens!
Avocado Mash – combine breast milk, formula, or filtered water with an avocado. Blend until combined. You can experiment with spices as baby gets tired of the bland avocado flavor.
Sweet Potato Smash – combine breast milk, formula, or filtered water with steamed or baked sweet potato. Great spice additions include cinnamon and nutmeg, and this is also a great place to add some chia or flax seeds. Blend until combined.
Bonus: Blend what you’re having! – Feeding baby can be even easier when you keep it simple. Once you’ve introduced foods to your baby, feel free to blend up what you’re having to reach a consistency that your little one enjoys. You can do this with grains (quinoa is a nutrient powerhouse!), veggies, and just about anything else that you’ve got on your plate.
Storing Baby Food – Making baby food is easy, and so is storing it. You can keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days, and the freezer for up to 3 months. The easiest way to store baby food in the freezer, is by pouring the finished product into an ice tray; when baby is ready to eat, you can pull out one of the cubes and thaw it in the microwave, or if you have more time, you can let it thaw in the fridge or at room temperature.
