With dairy allergies becoming more and more prevalent, many people are turning to soy milk, rice milk, and almond milk as substitutes. Here are a few recipes you can make with almond milk. The recipes are simple to make because you can whip them up in your Blendtec blender (you can even make your own almond milk).

Peaches and Cream Green

This recipe is a great way to start the morning, helping you get your daily dose of vitamins A and C. It’s also very easy to make.

Avocado Soup*

This simple, creamy soup is delicious served cold and accompanied with a scoop of ceviche. The recipe calls for 1 cup of milksimply use almond milk.

Popovers*

This American version of Yorkshire pudding can be served with marmalade and fresh fruit at breakfast. Or add some grated cheese and herbs for a more savory accompaniment to lunch or dinner. Remember to heat the pan before pouring the batterand once the popovers are in the oven, no peeking. Substitute the cow’s milk listed in the recipe with almond milk.

Thai Peanut Sauce*

This highly flavored and multipurpose sauce is great for dipping, tossed with noodles for a salad, drizzled over sautéed vegetables, or accompanied by shish kebabs. Use almond milk instead of coconut milk.

Exfoliating Mask

This last recipe isn’t necessarily one you’ll want to eat, but it’s a great way to give yourself a spa treatment in the comfort of your own home. Exfoliating removes the surface layer of dead cells, allowing your freshest skin to shine through. Typically, women should exfoliate 1–2 times weekly and men should exfoliate 2–3 times weekly, depending on factors such as age and climate.

    We use almond milk in our morning smoothies! And, there’s nothing better than iced cold almond milk with a nice slice of chocolate cake! Yummy!
