Nowadays, Americans consume 17 billion quarts of popped popcorn a year; that’s an average of 54 quarts per American! Popcorn is such a common snack that it’s seen at theaters, fairs, ballparks, and almost every other event across the country. You can buy popcorn in all sorts of flavors, but it’s so much healthier and cheaper to make it yourself. Here are three delicious popcorn recipes that are perfect for celebrating Popcorn Lover’s Day:

Chocolate Cinnamon Popcorn
- ¼ c cocoa powder
- ½ c sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp kosher or sea salt
- 9 c popped popcorn
Add first 4 ingredients to FourSide jar and secure lid. Select Speed 5, and run for 8–10 seconds or until incorporated. Press “Pulse” or “X” to stop. Pour popcorn into large bowl, add dry mixture, and mix well with spoon.
Cayenne-Ranch Popcorn
- ⅓ c powdered buttermilk
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp kosher or sea salt
- ½ tsp dried dill
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 9 c popped popcorn
Add all ingredients except butter and popcorn to FourSide jar and secure lid. Select Speed 6, and run for 10 seconds. Press “Pulse” or “X” to stop. Pour popcorn into large bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and add dry mixture; mix well with spoon.
Chili-Lime Popcorn
- ¼ c powdered buttermilk
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp fresh lime zest
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 9 c popped popcorn
Add buttermilk and chili powder to FourSide jar and secure lid. Select Speed 6, and run for 10 seconds. Press “Pulse” or “X” to stop. Fold in fresh lime zest. Pour popcorn into large bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and add dry mixture; mix well with spoon.
