When Blendtec first went into the blender business, we only made commercial blenders. At that time, the warranty for our commercial machines was for either the number of years after purchase or the total number of blend cycles, whichever came first—similar to a car warranty that covers either so many years or so many miles, whichever comes first.

(On a related note, Blendtec recently became the only manufacturer to offer a 3-year warranty on its top commercial blenders, regardless of blend cycle count. Read about it here.)

Cycle Counter Display on Blendtec Blender

When we responded to the demand for a consumer version of our groundbreaking machine, we adapted the blender accordingly. One thing we altered was the control pad, making it more intuitive and user-friendly. The design retained the cycle count display, which ended up being a very popular feature for our home users. For many, it became a matter of pride as their blenders achieved hundreds and thousands of blend cycles, validating their decision to purchase the world’s best-built blender.

Just remember: The warranties on our home machines do not have a cycle restriction on them, so blend to your heart’s content!

We were blessed to receive and donated blender for our daughter who is 100% tube fed. We have had our blender for just over 2 months now and we have 331 blend cycles on it! I need to go blend some more stuff for her and add to that number!

I have mine for about a month now and I have around 450 cycles. So far we have made breads, smoothies, pancakes and the equivalent of a Ice Cappuccino from Tim Horton (in Canada). We love our Blendtec Designer Series blender.

  3. Wish I had one!

The cycle counter on my Blentec definitely justifies my purchase. I’m using it for a lot more things then I initially imagined. Nut butters, ice cream and smoothies are just a few of our favorites.

Love knowing why my counter is there. I use my Blendtec several times a day and after a year and half, I have almost 4000 blends to show for it!

  7. Ok, is it wrong for me to want to win a Blendtec for myself so I can give my mom my old, but still, very functioning Oster blender? Or if I win, should I give my mom the new Blendtec and then I have to be jealous with my old Oster blender? Oy, I’m not happy with these feelings, when I KNOW my mom would just say, “you keep the new blender for yourself”! Now, I just have to hope I win a BLENDTEC!!! :-D
