Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect First review I've ever written.. This blender is amazing. However,.. water will leak out of it.. so you MUST clean it and pour water out.. NEVER let water stand in it (clean it right after using it!). Also, if it is on the base while water is in it, the water will leak down through the base. When this happened to us, I called and they sent me a new base (how was I to know that the thing was not 'water tight'?) just in case the water damaged something in there.. and then they coached me on NOT letting water stand in it.. So, 2000 uses later (averaging 2 cycles per day for almost 3 years), and still with the original cannister (that water ran through) the seal in the cannister goes bad - the noise changed - which warned me. I'm literally eating black rubber in my smoothie,.. Again, I call Blendtec and the are sending me a new cannister.. and again they coached me on maintenance,.. saying that I should manually spin the blade before loading with food, to get the oil flowing.. and also to NOT push down on top of the blender while it's blending - which i had done a few times to stabilize. I might add.. never let water stand in there which no doubt runs through the cannister and out the bottom..and takes some of the 'lube' with it.. Having said all that.. Great customer service, incredibly easy to use and clean.. and if you load it correctly, it works perfectly EVERY time. I could not be happier.. Whether soup or smoothie or ice creamm.. this thing is worth every penny!!! and did I mention that it is the easiest food processor / blender to clean in the world! ?

I'm new to the powerful blender like yours. I'm debating if the classic HP3A table top blender is better and easier to use than the designer series. Any thoughts?

Asked by: redcedar
The HP3A comes with 4 preprogrammed cycles that you set yourself from the 25 options in the scroll setting. The Designer Series comes with 6 preprgrammed cycles already programmed.

Does warranty cover the blenders sold in Canada through the authorized dealers? If so, do you cover the shipping cost for the repair or return to your company in US?

Asked by: redcedar
The warranty will be up to the dealer. We do have a standard 3 year parts 1 year labor. If the dealer wants to extend the parts we will do so up to 7 years but we require him/her to extend labor to match the parts extension. The price of the blender only covers the first year of labor. If the blender needs repairs and it was purchased from a dealer, you will have to go through a service center in Canada.

what is the capacity of the blendtec jar? it is not mentioned in specs.

Asked by: shar
The capacity for each jar is as follows: FourSide 32oz, WildSide 36oz,Twister 16oz, Mini Twister 8 oz. Only fill to the top black line on each jar. The capacity for the blender to handle is that line. If you load the jar up above the line the lid could blow off.

What is the difference between model #TB-621-26 and # TD23PA01-A?

Asked by: jackie9
Both of these machines are the Total Blender Classic model. The one in Sam's Club comes with the WildSide & Mini Twister jars. The TB-621-26 model is an older model that Costco sold with the FourSide jar. That model is no longer available in Costco, they now sell the same blender with the WildSide jar. On Costco.com, you can get that package with the Twister jar.

I just bought the Classic from Costco a few days ago, and have been making smoothies daily. The motor on the blender is EXTREMELY LOUD.  Is this normal? I am considering taking it back to exchange for another one, or are they all like that?

Because our blenders have such large motors, they are going to be quite loud. If you feel it is too loud, please call 800.748.5400 and they can listen to your blender over the phone to determine if there might be another issue.
