Total Blender Classic Certified Refurbished is rated 4.7474 out of 5 by 487.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Blendtec I just got me refurbished Blendtec and love it. I own an ice cream shop and have had 2 commercial blenders to make smoothies. I used the Hamilton Beach Commercial and the Vitamix. Blendtec blows them away. We can put in our mix, ice and walk away. When we come back it is perfect. Both Hamilton Beach and Vitamix involved mixing to get the mixture to move. The flat bottom on the Blendtec makes it perfect for getting every bit of smoothie out of the bottom. The other blenders were too narrow to use a spatula to get the mixture out. Great design and performance. I hope it lasts for years. Oh, the refurbished looks like new. Great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful, I like it better than my old Vitamix I had my Vitamix for a few years and when the Jar cracked I decided to try the Blendtec. I purchased it through DEI equipment with free shipping and I got 6 months no interest to pay for it so it was a no brainer. I only had it for a few weeks and it's already over 100 blends lol, it's great! I like that it has the settings unlike the vitamix that is all manual, I like that when I want juice I just select the right button and I can go away and it's done to perfection. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and service Purchased a refurbished unit online in early July. Somehow the order was lost, but a great customer service rep handled the issue and expedited the shipment. The rep was very professional, it makes me feel that we have made a good choice in buying Blendtec. We have friends that purchased both a Vitamix and this Blendtec unit, and after 10 days of using both, they sent the Vitamix back. Blendtec was far better for their smoothy and cooking needs. I have only used my Blendtec a few times, but I am very impressed with the power and the results. With a seven year warranty and great customer service, I can't imagine why you would buy anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! I purchased a re-furbished model several months ago. Great service. Love my Blendtec! Easy to use, extremely easy to clean. I have used a very sturdy Oster blender for nearly 30 years. The Blendtec allows me to make my green smoothies on the run in the morning with a very quick clean-up. I freeze my ingredients in jars, add them to the blender, blend and pour the smoothies back into the jars, put the lids on and have a days worth for "snacking" on. I would purchase this again and recommend it to others. It is a little noisy when grinding frozen chunks. I put my hand on the lid if it gets a little jumpy. I expect it and the noise is short lived.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to love this blender, but... I was super excited to get my Blendtec but a bit disappointed that the Blendtec does not blend small quantities or low-liquid mixes, despite having a "sauces" setting. Tried to make peanut sauce and the garlic remained in giant chunks. Tried to make a juice with a carrot and the carrot remained whole. Also tried to blend figs for fig bars and the figs remained chunky. Also disappointed that customer service's response was that I should buy a $100 addition -- a jar for low-liquid blending. The blender should just work; and customer service shouldn't take the opportunity to upsell when the core product isn't working as advertised. I should have gotten a Vitamix

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels new because it is new! I bought the this recertified blendtec blender a few months back and it has been awesome! One, it does everything they say it does without any hesitation. We've made soups, smoothies, milks (almond milk) and shakes so far and it seems to make it all with ease. Two, it says it's refurbished but everything came brand new. I am almost certain that the only thing that was used may have been the motor in a different body. Even if so, I cannot tell because the performance is awesome! Plus there is a seven year warranty on it just like the "new" ones so it really doesn't matter. I highly encourage everyone who is looking at a refurbished model to save a few bucks to buy it. I have had zero complaints with mine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I have owned this blender and used it a ton. It can not handle blending frozen fruit. I bought it to make smoothies and it has been a total let down. I have to add too much liquid to get it to blend then my smoothie is too runny. I just made some milkshakes for my girls tonight and they turned out runny too. The strawberry ice cream recipe from the book won't even blend. I have to stop it and stir multiple times to finally get it to blend. I opted for the Blendtec because of the size and supposedly the ability to blend without the tamper. Unfortunately my blender just doesn't work well and I wish I had bought the Vitamix instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but a little Hard to Clean I really love my blender and use it every day for smoothies , especially green smoothies, and grinding grains. (Sprouted grains...oh my, so good!) The green smoothies get really frothy (as in, an extra 1/2 cup of air per quart!). I also use it for carrots/apples and batters. My peeve is that the lid is really hard to clean, as well as the underside of the jar. I'm thinking of getting the little jar, too, for grinding smaller amounts of grains and nut butters, but I love that there aren't a ton of pieces I have to keep track of (like with a Ninja bullet or whatever). I live in a small apt so I want everything I own to be worth the space it takes up :)

i want to know that what is the different between blentec classic 475 Blender n blentec classic 570 blender

Asked by: nita patel
The style of the base is slightly different. They both have a 'Smoothie' cycle and 3 Speeds + Pulse, however, the 570 has an additional 'Hot' cycle.

What is the difference between the Total Classic blender and an ES3?

Asked by: Barbara
The ES3 is not a specific blender model. If someone is referring to an ES3, they likely are talking about the Total Blender Classic or our new line of Classic Series blenders.

I love my Blendec but sometimes it doesn't seem to mix well and just makes a grinding noise. Seems to be when I am using several frozen items. Do I not have enough liquid? Is it bad to shake and move the base while it is on to get things "moving"? Thanks!

Asked by: foxshop123
We do not recommend that you shake or move the base around while it is blending. It is quite possible that you need to add more liquid; however, it will be best if we can troubleshoot the issue over the phone to be certain. Please call 800.748.5400 for assistance, and be sure you are near your blender when you call.

What is the functional difference between the 2 refurbish units? Total vs. Designer. What are the preprogrammed buttons on the Total Blender?

Asked by: Bohdie
Both models have the same six prepgrogammed cycles (soups, smoothies, whole juice, ice crush, ice cream, batters), pulse, and manual speed control. The main difference between the two, is the design of the base.
