The Most Extreme Blender Money Can Buy

You’ve seen him on TV and the Internet—that guy who blends crazy things. He’s Tom Dickson, creator and owner of Blendtec. Now you can own a very special Tom Dickson Extreme blender—a monster of a machine with enough power to blend everything from frozen fruit to nuts to grains and even rake handles. But don't try that at home.

Built-In or Tabletop Use

The Tom Dickson Extreme is our most powerful machine, backed by an impressive 10-year warranty. It can be built into the countertop to become a part of your kitchen's design and function, but it can still be moved to different areas by using the included tabletop base for parties, family gatherings, and other events.

Amazing Results

Make dough for bread, hot soup, and everything in between. The Tom Dickson Extreme comes with the FourSide jar, which holds nearly 2 quarts, and the WildSide+ jar, which has a 4" blade and holds nearly 3 quarts. You won't believe how fast and easy it is to blend whole fruits and vegetables and crush ice with no problems.

One-touch Blend Cycles

Blending has never been simpler. Just push one of the four preprogrammed blend cycle buttons, and the Tom Dickson Extreme does the rest, automatically speeding up, slowing down, and shutting off the motor automatically. The result? Perfect blends, every time.

Plenty of Power

With a 2400-watt motor and the ability to complete multiple kitchen tasks, it’s no wonder the Tom Dickson Extreme is the blender Tom personally chooses for celebrities, family, and friends. Now you can own the same model used by famous music, TV, and movie stars around the world.

Features include:
  • 20 amps (Note: A 20-amp receptacle and proper electrical circuit capacity are required.)
  • 3.8 peak horsepower motor
  • Illuminated one-touch, push-button interface
  • 4 preprogrammed cycles
  • 10 speeds + Pulse
  • Molded stand
  • Colors: Black
  • Dimensions: 6.25" wide x 16" tall x 8.25" deep
  • Weight: 12 lbs
  • 20 amps, 120 volts
  • 10-year warranty

What is the difference between the Tom Dickson Extreme blender and the Professional 800 other than the price, getting one more jar and lid, and needing a 20 amp receptacle ?

Asked by: CindyS
The Professional 800 is also much quieter than the Tom Dickson Extreme and has more preprogrammed cycles.

Can this blender safely blend leftover or raw bones and eggshells into a sort of bonemeal for our garden? If so, would that void the warranty?

Asked by: Jenna
We consider bones and eggshells to be food and therefore they are safe to blend and it does not void the warranty, The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage like scratching, scraping, or scuffing of the jar and tougher/sharper ingredients such as bone have a higher potential of marking up the inside of the jar, so use caution.

How loud is the blender, in decibels at 1 meter?  How does that compare with other blendtec blender models I may have heard ( at Costco for example)? Thanks

Asked by: Albireo
This depends on what is being blended. The blender with nothing in it at full speed will be in the high 70s decibel range. If you are blending hard dry items like wheat it can get up to the 90 db range. This model does have a bit more power behind than other models, so it may be louder at times.

Is it possible to buy a glass jar for the blender rather than plastic? If not, are there plans to have a glass jar available in the future?

Asked by: nate1749
We do not offer a glass jar option for two reasons: 1. Safety is our top priority. Blendtec blenders are among the most powerful on the planet, and their jars have to handle high-speed impacts from very hard ingredients like frozen fruit. Glass jars have the potential to shatter not only when dropped, but also during high-speed blending. Blendtec's Tritan copolyester jars are engineered to withstand that kind of stress. 2. Lighter is better. Blendtec jars are very light and are molded for easy gripping and storage. Glass jars, on the other hand, are heavier and more difficult to grip, pour, and store.

Which of the blenders would you suggest for blending whole avacados seed and all, and whole pineapples?

Asked by: TriciaF
Any of the blenders will blend whole avocados, though cutting the avocados in half will help the avocado to blend more quickly. Any of the blenders will blend whole pineapple, though the pineapple will need to be roughly chopped to begin the blending process.

What I mean is, if I buy this blender from the States, ship it to Taiwan on my own and have an electrician fit a 20 amp power outlet into my kitchen, will the machine work? ( The electricity here in Taiwan is 110volt, 60 Hertz). Thank you.

Asked by: Maria T
This blender will operate off of the 110V, 60hz power in Taiwan. However, your warranty will be void, and we do not recommend using a blender on any power source other than what the machine has been designed for.

Dave A. is correct, but if you need pictures... NEMA 5-20P (for the plug) and a NEMA 5-20R (for the receptacle) Google images of either of those and you'll get more photos than you could possibly need. :)

Asked by: PersonalTrainer
I have one that I will sell to you.  It's an excellent, very heavy duty blender but I don't want to leave it out on my counter and it's too heavy for me to pull it out of my cabinet every time I want to use it.
