I had initially purchased the under the counter Vitamix, but when it came it was so big! I saw the Blendtec and how compact it was I started researching about it. You tube has many videos comparing the Blendtec to the Vitamix that showed they are very comparable. So I bought the Blendtec and returned the Vitamix. Not only did I save $200 but I am thrilled with my Blendtec. I make green smoothies everyday and have used all kinds of vegetables and seeds and it blends it perfectly smooth. Very easy to clean and use. Only small negative would be that it is very loud . I'm not sure how other machines are in that regard.

Terrific!
This blender has made it possible for me make green smoothies every day, starting the day it arrived. It is so easy to use and clean that I no longer have any excuses not to. The smoothies are also much smoother than the ones made in my old, ordinary blender. The only complaint I have is that several of the items listed on the website with the blender did not come in the box with it. I called and then they were sent, but not right away. Maybe they need to revise that page if they no longer are offering the recipe books, user guide and DVD. The blender itself is so great I didn't take off on the rating for this.

Great machine
I LUV my blendtec. I am totally addicted to green smoothies now. Works great to make batter and I still have so many recipes I want to try. The base does move around a bit but I haven't had any problems regarding that. I love that it fits on my counter too under my cabinet . The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't had it for very long and still learning.

Great machine
It works!! Lesser blenders don't! I like the 2 dull blade design -- so much easier and safer to clean and to get processed ingredients out. I thought it would be a limited-use appliance, but find I use it all the time. It is pricey compared to most blenders, but reasonable for such a go-to appliance. And the twister jar is fabulous!!! A tamper that fits through the center hole, though, would be a worthwhile accessory if it had a stop to prevent contact with the blade

Smooth smoothies!
I love it! Blends great smoothies! Don't have to chew my greens anymore. Cleans easily. It's a bit loud but it's a blender I didn't expect quiet :)

Love my Blendtec Signature
I absolutely love my blendtech signature series, which came with the twister jar. It really brings everything that the designer series brings, pretty much the same motor, the same jars, The same brute force. It is loud, and it does sound like it's trying to thrash self to death I speeds above 3, but that's okay, for Ferraris, Corvettes and rocket ships are loud also. I have confidence that blend tech delivers the best blenders at the best price point and backs it up with the warranty which I've only read great things about. Very happy with my purchase .

All of our blenders are great products. The reason some of them are no longer available to buy, is because we discontinued them, to allow us to launch a whole new line of blenders. You can still find some of these discontinued blenders at some retailers and on Amazon. They work great and still come with an 8-year warranty (if it's new).

I am looking to purchase this model on Amazon.com but it says it has a 7-year warranty instead of 8. Do I get a lesser warranty when purchasing from Amazon?
The warranty on the Signature Series was 7 years, but our warranty has recently changed to an 8-year warranty and is retroactive. Our new warranty will apply to this blender, unless it is refurbished, in which case it will have a 7-year warranty.

i bought a signature series from Marshals How do i know if it is refurbished?? Also is the Signature better than the classic
The Signature Series blenders available at Marshall's are not refurbished units. It's a past season item that we no longer carry in our lineup. It is a new machine that we still support, and it's a great machine for any kitchen, and will be able to do everything you need it to.

If I received this as a gift can I still use the warranty if needed. I may or may not have a receipt and it won't have my name on it. Why did they discontinue it and want is the upgrade you suggest?
Yes, we keep very good records on serials numbers for when our blenders were purchased and we can use that date to honor warranty claims. Call Customer Service at 1-800-253-6383 and we can look up your serial number to get you registered and linked to your blender.
This model was discontinued when we launched our new line of blenders. The Classic 575 is a great option in place of the Signature Series.

I am really happy to having Blendtec Desinger Wildside (Red), I have been use few times only (aroud 15 times), it was my Chirstmas persent on 2014, at this morning, my blendtec cannot work and the screen show "E-03", I just got new and I am live Japan.
E-03 is a temperature error. You can try leaving unplugged for 20 minutes and call for Customer Service if that does not reset the machine. If this was purchased outside of Japan, the different voltage might be the reason. We have international dealers for Blendtec machines specifically for each country. The Customer Support team would be able to get you the contact information for Japanese dealers as well.

What is the preset programmed button I should use for crushed ice as the Signature does not have that feature? The classic has that feature, so I don't know what program to use. I would prefer to use a program as opposed to pushing a set speed button.
You can use the "Ice Cream" cycle, and just stop it when you reach the desired consistency, or you can run the lowest speed for 15 seconds, middle speed for 10 seconds, and then the lowest speed again for 10 seconds.

There is no problem with this product. We discontinued our older blender models, in order to present our new line up of blenders.
