Cleanup as Easy as 1-2-3

Every recipe ends with the dreaded cleanup. We've made cleanup amazingly simple by designing a flat, sealed touch area and a smooth motor base. A quick wipe with a damp cloth and your Blendtec is as beautiful as the day you brought it home. Plus, like all other Blendtec blenders, there's no messy tamper to fuss with while you're blending.

Easy clean up

The Swiss Army Knife of Blenders

Blendtec's Designer Series will be the most-used appliance in your kitchen because it can do the job of many appliances. It's a whole juicer, meat grinder, latte machine, bread mixer, ice cream maker, grain mill, coffee grinder, milk shake mixer, and blender.

A Higher Standard

Sometimes, Less Is More

We know that even in the biggest kitchen, counter space is limited. So we carefully considered your real estate when we created the Designer Series. It fits easily under most cabinetry, and its slender design minimizes its presence while stealing the spotlight. Say good-bye to that big, old blender you stored out of sight and out of mind (and therefore didn't use very much).

1,560 Watts of Power

Our commercial-grade motor is the most-powerful motor available for home use. It's the only motor strong enough to drive the aggressive blade in our high-performance jars, so you don't need a messy plunger.

Finely Balanced Direct Drive

Our precision-machined socket connects directly to the motor, resulting in a finely balanced motor assembly. This feature reduces vibration and noise, a critical function with our motor speeds, and also increases reliability because the socket never needs to be replaced (unlike most other blenders).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish, versatile and fun to use I bought my Bendtec Designer Series mostly to be able to make green smoothies to replace my morning bagel and coffee. I've made a different delicious smoothie every morning in almost the same amount of time it takes to make the bagel. It's such a healthier way to start my day. I've also made vegan pistachio ice cream, apple pancakes, and frozen coffee drinks that are better than any I have bought at a coffee shop. Yes, this was an investment, but I am very pleased with it, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high end blender. It can literally do anything. And it looks great on my counter!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay This machine was not the powerful machine I had expected. It doesn't really handle sorbets or banana ice creams they way they claim. It creates air pockets with the simplest of tasks [soft tofu puddings], and overheats easily. It does shut itself off when it overheats, but you do have to wait a while for it to cool down again. I bought this over the Vitamix, because of the jars—the blades are dull to touch [therefore doesn't tear up silicon spatulas], and because of the wide base that makes it easy to get all of the food you've processed. This is fabulous, design of the jars are absolutely wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most-Used Item in My Kitchen! (Besides the fridge) After years of purchasing $60 blender after $60 blender, I decided to stop doing the quick-fix-it and get the blender I wanted. I'd been watching Will It Blend videos for the laughs for a few years, and knew that I wanted to try a Blendtec eventually. When my last blender decided it didn't want to do ANY of the work anymore (I was using a spoon over a dozen times per blend to stir), I sacrificed a few things on my budget and plopped this bad boy in my cart. It is, up to today, the most-used and well-loved product I have ever put in my kitchen (besides the fridge, which isn't fun to watch). I purchased the Blendtec Designer Series blender in Cream because I knew it would sit beautifully on the counter; otherwise I would have opted for a cheaper version. That said, the WildSide jar that came with it is fantastic, and the machine has not yet had a job (in over 1000 uses) that it could not handle. I use it every morning for a smoothie or superfood juice, and I know I don't have to ever worry about the blades getting dull from all the frozen fruit, because they are supposed to be dull! They come dull so they can pulverize material really quickly, instead of trying to slice everything to a pulp (makes way more sense, doesn't it?). My favorite feature is its ability to clean itself (without being taken apart!). In fact, you can't take the thing apart. Just add a cup of hot water, a couple drops of soap, and turn it on for a few seconds. If it needs a little extra scrubbing (and I do wash and dry it by hand sometimes to keep the plastic looking new), it's easy to reach in and give it a quick wash. The outside of the machine is very easy to keep looking new, even if you go a few uses between wipe-downs. This is the only blender I ever want to own/purchase again. I've used Vitamix blenders (friends' only; I've never owned one), which blend equally well, but they have so many extra parts that I don't have time to clean in the morning. In the afternoon/evening, it blends margaritas to a perfect (PERFECT) consistency in no time at all. My son loves all the different nut butters I make, and it has saved me tremendously on almond milk! There are hundreds of recipes available around the internet in addition to the ones that come in the Blendtec cookbook. I do recommend that if you make any potato soup in the blender, you let it sit overnight and reheat it the next day, and at that, save some of the cooked potato, chop them up, and add those back in for texture. This blender does make really tasty soups, but sometimes they are so full of air bubbles that they need to sit for a while to get the texture right. So far, nothing else has had that issue. I guess if it's more "liquidy," it won't have trouble letting the air escape. I have never once regretted the decision to purchase this blender. If it lasts me 3 years, it will have already paid for itself, and without any of the hassle. I expect it will last much longer than that, and time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beet carrot smoothies are a breeze! I had an old blender that could make smoothies but this thing blows it out of the water. Carrots, beets, no problem. Only complaint so far is that it is loud. My 2-year-old gets a bit stressed about the noise. Cleanup is easy, holds a lot, fits under my cabinets and looks fine on the counter.

Does Certified Refurbished have noticeable wear and tear? like scratches and marks?

Some of our refurbished blenders will have some wear on them, but it's not very noticeable. If it's really bad, we replace the shell.
