SmartBlend Technology

The Blendtec Designer 725 is truly the blender with a brain. Our exclusive SmartBlend technology senses and identifies potential problems that could interfere with the perfect blend-including loading errors, overheating, or air pockets - and then tells users how to fix them.

100-Speed Capacitive Touch Slider + Multi-Speed Pulse

Get seamless precision speed control for 100 speeds with the slide of a finger. It even tells you which speed to use for stirring, chopping, mixing, blending, or pureeing. Use Multi-Speed Pulse for an added burst of power at any speed.

Preprogrammed Blend Cycles

Six preprogrammed custom cycles enable one-touch blending perfection: Smoothie, Salsa, Ice Cream, Whole Juice, Hot Soup, and Clean. The Designer 725 even suggests additional uses for each cycle so you know how to get the most from your blender.

Tap For More

During any blend cycle, easily add 10 seconds with a single tap to the blend cycle icon you are currently using. So you can achieve just the consistency you're looking for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great results but some annoying flaws. This blender is easy to use and delivers really awesome blending results. Smoothies and soups of all kinds turn out great with the Wildside+ Jar and nut butter, curry pastes and small portions are easy to make with the Twister Jar. The machine is very loud, but that didn't came as a surprise. Unfortunately, there are some caveats: One minor thing: The german translation is quite bad, so I decided to let it speak english. One annoying thing: It does not have a physical power switch. You have to plug the cord off the wall, if you don't want to let it use standby-energy. Another annoying thing: Blendtec advertises this device as a good looking appliance, hence the name "Designer". It really is. But not for a very long time. After around 50 blends, the upper layer of the satinated plastic of the jar mount gets scrubbed off and gets welded into the jar's base (see photos). Blendtec obviously chose the wrong kind of plastic or they should have taken rubber feet, that can be replaced when wearing off. Also I had to "read error" messages, that interrupted my blending, but only two or three times so far. I highly sophisticated device like this should habe the ability to get user manageable firmware-update, so why is there no USB-port on the back of the machine? If the firmware has bugs, I have to send it in, that's neither a good solution for me, nor Blendtec. As you may have seen from my review, I'm using a european 230V version. So, if Blendtec eliminates these issues, the Designer 725 would be absolutely perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Designer 725 with Wildside+ Jar is Dream Machine I purchased the Designer 725 with the Wildside+ Jar about month ago and it has exceeded all my expectations in performance, quality and design features. I've used it to make smoothies, salsa, soup bases and sauces with excellent results. The cleaning and scub cycle is awesome compared to how I had to manually wash my retired Cusinart Blender. It is truly a professional blender with power, outstanding design features and quality. The Wideside+ Jar works like a champ in blending, pouring and with the cleaning/scrub feature on the blender touch panel. The touch panel and features are awesome too. It's a very well designed blender along with the Wildside+ Jar and I would highly recommend to my friends.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 725 Not Worth the Price I have owned a BlendTec for over 15 years. I thought long and hard about upgrading to the top of the line residential 725 model. Took the plunge anticipating a major improvement vs. my other blender. Result? Just about the same. Some cute little phrases print across the machine but it is JUST AS LOUD as the other, much less expensive models. I know this because I am an early riser. Most mornings I make a protein shake to have on the way to work. The kitchen is a long way from the bedrooms. We have a nice, executive home. Old Blentec, New 725 Blentec = same results. Wakes everyone up because of the noise. My advice. Save your money and go with less expensive Blentec. You will be just as happy and will have saved hundreds of dollars. I want you to know that I write this as a MAJOR Blentec fan. Their blenders are great. The 725 has no features to justify the premium price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top-Quality Engineering and Design Integrity The simplicity and robustness of the engineering of the 725 is truly singular and remarkable, greatly exceeding our expectations. This American-made machine is positively "goof proof"... It is powerful, easy to clean, and forth right in its operation. Blendtec can expect future orders from us for its other products; our friends will become Blendtec consumers for certain. We did experience an unusual shipping delay, mainly owing to the demand for this model, causing us a bit of frustration; this was elegantly addressed by the three top-notch service representatives, for which a letter of gratitude to their leadership shall be forthcoming. Many Thanks... Dick B.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy I bought this taking a risk as I'm using it in Europe. These things are so expensive here. But turns out, this thing works incredibly well with a converter. It has so much power. Couldn't be happier!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Blender I've Used I love this blender. The touch screen surface is great to wipe down and super easy to use, the wild side jar is a great size. So far I've made smoothies daily (love the "self cleaning"), whipped cream, and hummus. Can't wait to make more recipes! My only negative is how incredibly loud it is! I feel bad that I'm waking everyone in the house up and am slightly concerned about hearing loss! Otherwise it's a 5 star product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If Apple made blender... The design is amazing and so is the craftsmanship. The housing is die-cast stainless steel. This blender is powerful, quiet and versatile. It is very compact and fits under cabinets will room to spare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Put, FANTASTIC! Very powerful, easy to clean blender that can do it all from hot soups to amazing smoothies that are easy and enjoyable to drink. This blenders single dull blade is safe to touch when not in use and the WildSide cyclone action really does do a wonderful job of mixing your ingredients together without the need for a plunger like accessory. I really enjoy the beauty of this machine from the design to the gorgeous digital display. If you're in the market for a commercial grade blender and you're trying to decide between the blendtec and the Vitamix, do yourself a favor and purchase a blendtec that offers you more features for the same price, you will not be disappointed.

Does the Designer 725 shred rubber on the container bottom while making nut butters? As this model has a 3.8hp motor does the the container come off the base at higher speeds?

Asked by: Nancy T
All blender jars have a similar rubber seal which wears down over time and would need to be replaced, and they usually last several years before any issue. If anything ever happens to it, we cover that under the warranty. While certain nuts are particularly hard, all of our jars will work great making nut butters, and you shouldn't have any problem with the seal because of the nuts' hardness. The power of the motor will not cause the jar to come off, We also have the Twister jar specifically for making thick blends like nut butter: http://www.blendtec.com/jars/twister-jar

What is the warranty on the  blendtec 725?  Does it have a more powerful motor than the blendtec  costco sales?  Also, how loud is it.  I have lots of company coming in  randomly for a night here or there and I hate to wake them up early in the morning.

Asked by: marmalade
The Designer 725 has an 8-year warranty (unless you buy it refurbished, than it's 7 years). It has a 3.8-peak horsepower motor, as compared to the 3.0-peak horsepower motor in the Costco model. The Designer 725 is quieter than most of our other models, but because of the powerful model, it is still going to be quite loud. If you're looking for a quite model, our Pro 800 is your best option. It is quite pricey, but you can save some money going with our refurbished model. We also offer financing through Affirm: http://www.blendtec.com/affirm.
