Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful blender! This blender is amazing. I have used a Vitamix for years, but prefer the ease of this blender. I am able to eat healthy food in a fun way. This blender has the right amount or presets for my needs. You can use the adjustable speeds on the slider bar if you need more. It has a handy timer so you know how long you have been blending. I also purchased the Blendtec Twister jar. I made nut butter tonight and it tasted great and was so easy to use. The Twister lid really makes it a lot easier. In my Vatimix I constantly had to use the tamper, but I have not had a need for one with any recipe while using my Blendtec.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blender Upgrade Gave it an excellent compared to our Oster blender (kind of like giving Disney World an excellent after riding the roller coaster at the county fair). Have not used this type of blender enough to know how it compares to something comparable. Purchased the 625 as part of a diet/lifestyle change and have enjoyed the power/blending versatility A LOT! Have only had it two weeks and am still figuring out all the ways to use it-but so far it has been fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use with great results! i bought this for my family as a Christmas present. we had tried a couple of other highly marketed "smoothie" blenders out there, with pretty disappointing results. i decided it was time to spend the money to get a truly premium blender. my choice between this and the vita-mix came down to smoothie texture, ease of use, aesthetics and where it was made. Blendtec is american made, and i know its not cheap for them to do so here. so i choose to support them. this is a great blender, couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought my Blendtec about a month ago and I'm glad I did. I've owned a small personal blender, but really had to give up on the poor thing. It just never had the horsepower to blend smoothies well enough to my liking. With the Blendtec, there certainly aren't any lumps or un-blended foods. In a few weeks, I'm going to have bypass surgery to correct some GERD and hernia problems, and I will need to eat a lot of "mushy" food until the stomach heals. I'm preparing now for the surgery and it's been wonderful experimenting with different food combinations. The machine sits on the counter and is a constant reminder to try and eat healthy every day. Thanks Blendtec!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOOOO much better than my regular blender! When I decided to try to incorporate some vegetables (I hate veggies) into a smoothie I started out using my own blender. Results were okay, but what a strain on my poor blender. So I did some research, decided on the Blendtec, couldn't afford a new one so I researched refurbished ones and saw reviews were good. This is review is like those-it's good. It seems like a brand new one. It looks brand new. So far its operation is like brand new. Does a fantastic job of pulverizing those hated veggies in with some fruit so I don't taste the veggies. It produces a nice, smooth smoothie. Very loud though, but it's quick so it's loud for only a short time. I would recommend this blender to anyone. AND, my refurbished blender comes with a guarantee as good as what comes with a new one. Can't beat that! Only "con" I can think of is that it's just a tad too tall to fit under the cabinets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase EVER! We've had our Designer 625 for a number of weeks now and we both couldn't be happier with our purchase! Through the years we've purchased a number of great kitchen devices, but this Blendtec just may be the BEST purchase we've made. I've never made a smoothie with blackberries and not gotten a mouthful of seeds--until now. The Blendtec pulverizes the seeds! And we have made some incredible soups with it too! We are constantly experimenting and having so much fun! BTW, we've amassed a treasure trove of awesome recipes via Pinterest. Thank you Blendtec for an incredible machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this blender. My first of its kind I am not one to spend a lot on blenders but this one seemed more economical than the Vitamix, and it gets the job done well.and simple to use. I would buy from Blendtec again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's an "OK" blender. Definately stronger than most. It overheated making a smootie when I was paying attention to make sure there was not an air pocket during the precess. You can tell by the sound. Not sure if I would purchase one again.

Will the 625 easily blend frozen fruit?  I make sorbet bt cutting up fruit, freezing it and then blending it - this is how I burnt out my last blender.

Asked by: heater
This blender has no problems with frozen fruit. You will need to use a little bit of liquid but "ice cream" is one of the pre-programmed cycles on this blender.

Since the Blendtec blenders do not have a tamper, are they able to process nut butters? If so, which model is best suited for this particular task?

Asked by: kkack
Any of the blenders can make nut butters, we have a jar called the Twister jar that performs best with nut butters, hummus, dips, etc.
