Designer 625 with Wildside+ Jar is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the blender but hate the jar I purchased my blender direct for Blendtec August 2013 to make smoothies and it does a great job. I opened and read the instructions (I'm geekie) but by Oct 2013 I had to have the Jar (wildside) replaced. It was under warranty so they sent out a new jar. Now it's almost August 2014 and I need to have the jar replaced again. For this product to be very pricey I would think they could product a jar that would last. I am glad it is under warranty but would hate to have to purchase a new jar every year. A lifetime warranty on the jar would better serve this blender I think I will do some research into the Vitamix to see if there is any known issues with there jar or anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Blendtec Designer Series Blender! Received my Blendtec last month and absolutely love it! I have the combo Wildside & Fourside Jars which I often use together when I make large batches of either whole vegetable juices or fruit smoothies; I love the large 3 quart Wildside jar! The Blendtec does a superb job of making whole juices and smoothies - I haven't tried other things yet so I cannot leave a comment at this time. I've read other reviews complaining about how loud the Blendtec is but when I compare the noise level of the Blendtec to my old 10-speed blender I've been using, the Blendtec is quieter which I was pleased to discover. It may be a small thing to some, but I like the dull two-sided blade which allows for easy cleanup without the worry of catching a finger on a sharp blade; I use the pulse function with a bit of water and a drop of soap to clean the blender but I still like to take a dishcloth to the inside to give it a good cleaning prior to rinsing, so it's great not having to even think about a finger getting caught on a sharp blade. The Blendtec Designer Series is a beautiful looking blender with easy to use pre-set cycles and individual control of speed. I hope this blender meets my needs for years to come and that I don't end up having issues with the jar that others have mentioned. So far, I'm highly satisfied with my purchase.

The description says it comes in 6 colors: "and a stunning palette of six colors to choose from". But only see black and red in the options to buy. How can I buy the color ones?

Asked by: MAGQ
We do have other colors that we are working on finalizing, but they are not yet available. I apologize for the confusion.

Wondering if blentec is good in grinding rice, wheat or chickpeas?

Asked by: vijo87
You can certainly grind, rice, wheat, chickpeas in the jar. It could, however, scratch the jar. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage to the jar.

If I were to buy a blender on ebay that I suspect is a USA costco blendtec (8 year warranty), new in box, and I live in Canada, would the warranty replacement still all be paid for? Would I have to send parts across the border to a USA Costco?

Asked by: Ed3308
If you purchased your blender on e-bay it would not have the Costco warranty. Warranty repair, at this point, is done in the USA, at our factory.
