Designer 625 with Wildside+ Jar is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the blender but hate the jar I purchased my blender direct for Blendtec August 2013 to make smoothies and it does a great job. I opened and read the instructions (I'm geekie) but by Oct 2013 I had to have the Jar (wildside) replaced. It was under warranty so they sent out a new jar. Now it's almost August 2014 and I need to have the jar replaced again. For this product to be very pricey I would think they could product a jar that would last. I am glad it is under warranty but would hate to have to purchase a new jar every year. A lifetime warranty on the jar would better serve this blender I think I will do some research into the Vitamix to see if there is any known issues with there jar or anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful and attractive We hoped that this purchase would resolve our blender/smoothie issues- we're still uncertain about that however- we returned the first unit because it overheated on a third batch of smoothies late in the summer. The replacement hasn't yet been fully tested and sometimes has an electrical smell, but hopefully the Blendtec warranty will still our concerns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Blendtec Designer Series Blender! Received my Blendtec last month and absolutely love it! I have the combo Wildside & Fourside Jars which I often use together when I make large batches of either whole vegetable juices or fruit smoothies; I love the large 3 quart Wildside jar! The Blendtec does a superb job of making whole juices and smoothies - I haven't tried other things yet so I cannot leave a comment at this time. I've read other reviews complaining about how loud the Blendtec is but when I compare the noise level of the Blendtec to my old 10-speed blender I've been using, the Blendtec is quieter which I was pleased to discover. It may be a small thing to some, but I like the dull two-sided blade which allows for easy cleanup without the worry of catching a finger on a sharp blade; I use the pulse function with a bit of water and a drop of soap to clean the blender but I still like to take a dishcloth to the inside to give it a good cleaning prior to rinsing, so it's great not having to even think about a finger getting caught on a sharp blade. The Blendtec Designer Series is a beautiful looking blender with easy to use pre-set cycles and individual control of speed. I hope this blender meets my needs for years to come and that I don't end up having issues with the jar that others have mentioned. So far, I'm highly satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many great features not even advertised. Well, maybe, not. I bought mine at a Costco. I don't know if it's the exact one. It was odd because my wife and I decided to purchase a new blender as the old KitchenAid wasn't doing the job. Plus she has an ancient mini Cuisinart food processor. I did my online research and was out to buy a Ninja because of the price point. But then I came across a demo at Costco of Blendtec and was sold. It's loud but so is the Ninja or any other machine with greater than 3 horsepower. I wear hearing protection. Sometime one has to blend a mix several times in order to get the consistency desired. We have a 5-month old, a boy, who wants what my daughters (3 of them) and his parents eat. My wife likes to blend our foods. It's amazing how much like baby food her mixtures become. The great features not mentioned enough are as follows. The blades are blunt. The Ninja and most others have sharp blades that are difficult to clean and dangerous for the fingers. The weight of the base is only 4 pounds and fits neatly where the old KitchenAid fit. The Ninja's 1500 watt blender must go on the counter top because of it's weight. You can make soup with the Blendtec. Can't do that with a Ninja. It's mix is hotter as well than all other blenders. There's an 8-year warranty on newly, purchased merchandise. Ninja is two, I think. And best of all the Blendtec is made in the U.S. At least I couldn't find any other marking stating otherwise on the box and manual.

I need to liquefy food for a feeding tube. What cycle would be used to do that?

Asked by: huckfin
The "Whole Juice" cycle would probably work best. You may have to run it twice, depending on what you are blending.
