Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the blender but hate the jar I purchased my blender direct for Blendtec August 2013 to make smoothies and it does a great job. I opened and read the instructions (I'm geekie) but by Oct 2013 I had to have the Jar (wildside) replaced. It was under warranty so they sent out a new jar. Now it's almost August 2014 and I need to have the jar replaced again. For this product to be very pricey I would think they could product a jar that would last. I am glad it is under warranty but would hate to have to purchase a new jar every year. A lifetime warranty on the jar would better serve this blender I think I will do some research into the Vitamix to see if there is any known issues with there jar or anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blender I've owned this blender for almost two months, and I must say it is a great blender. It is extremely powerful, and the Wildside jar's design ensures excellent blending. I also purchased the Mini Twister Jar and it is great for small batches of things such as nut butters, spices and such. My wife wanted a Vitamix, but after a lot of research, I chose this one and am very glad I did. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good blender, does it all! I have owned this model for three months, it is my favorite of all the Blendtec models. I have owned the Total Classic 475, 575 (2) and the Signature Series, all within the last year. Love all of them but this one is my favorite. It is heavier then the others so it does not move as much when crushing ice. I gifted all the other models to my family and they love them. We are now a Blendtec family! Very enjoyable to eat healthy and share recipes with my family, Thanks Blendtec!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply AWESOME! I am a senior male almost two years into drastically changing my diet and eating habits - always looking for ways to better my kitchen 'tool chest', so on the advice of my daughter I purchased the 625 (in black) about a month ago. Where have you been all my life? LOL! I promptly went out and purchased the large twister jar as well - much to my daughter's chagrin. She had planned on getting one for me for Christmas. I simply told her I wasn't about to wait that long, which brought out a chuckle. I haven't been able to make use of this amazing machine as much as I'd like yet, but one of the things I HAVE used it for is nut milks. The absolute BEST is chocolate cashew milk. I can't believe how smo-o-o-o-th it is! Simply AWESOME! 'Store bought' stuff doesn't even come close! In fact, it doesn't even rate - in my humble opinion! I just wish I had more time to 'play' with it, but it'll come. Yeah the price is kinda high but the performance matches it, no problem!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally found "the one!" We've been through soooo many blenders and they never hold up or do the job on the first try. The Blendtech is worth every penny. We couldn't be happier. We make 2-3 smoothies a day and it consistently does an awesome job and is easy to clean up. So happy with our purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Blendtec Designer Series Blender! Received my Blendtec last month and absolutely love it! I have the combo Wildside & Fourside Jars which I often use together when I make large batches of either whole vegetable juices or fruit smoothies; I love the large 3 quart Wildside jar! The Blendtec does a superb job of making whole juices and smoothies - I haven't tried other things yet so I cannot leave a comment at this time. I've read other reviews complaining about how loud the Blendtec is but when I compare the noise level of the Blendtec to my old 10-speed blender I've been using, the Blendtec is quieter which I was pleased to discover. It may be a small thing to some, but I like the dull two-sided blade which allows for easy cleanup without the worry of catching a finger on a sharp blade; I use the pulse function with a bit of water and a drop of soap to clean the blender but I still like to take a dishcloth to the inside to give it a good cleaning prior to rinsing, so it's great not having to even think about a finger getting caught on a sharp blade. The Blendtec Designer Series is a beautiful looking blender with easy to use pre-set cycles and individual control of speed. I hope this blender meets my needs for years to come and that I don't end up having issues with the jar that others have mentioned. So far, I'm highly satisfied with my purchase.

The 625 does not have a clean button like the 675.  Does this mean it can not self clean like the 675 or it's just not preprogrammed?

Asked by: Brett
It's just not preprogrammed. It can still self clean by pressing pulse for about 10-20 seconds. Hope this helps!

Amazon has a Blendtec very similar to this, and is not 600 series, perhaps original designer series? It appears that you sell it as a refurbished model.  Amazon claims it is New.  Will it have 8 Year warranty? how does it compare to the 625?

Asked by: Levi1922
The original designer series has 6 preprogrammed blend cycles and 8 speeds where the 625 has 4 preprogrammed cycles and 6 speeds. Refurbished models have a 7-year warranty while new blenders have an 8-year warranty. You can learn more about warranties here: http://www.blendtec.com/warranty

Is this the model that is available through BestBuy Canada?  They carry a designer series Blendtec but don't have the model # listed?

Asked by: Linkin505
This is the model they carry: http://www.blendtec.com/blenders/designer-series-certified-refurbished. However, they carry it new, not refurbished.
